#father'sday #dad #inspiration My Dad was born to Auschwitz survivors. He was raised on a farm and learned to drive a tractor when he was 7. He left the rural life for college and earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. During the Vietnam War, he tested rockets and built weaponry for the Pentagon. In the 80s, he managed his own consultancy and subsequently worked for the largest software companies in the world. Finally, he became a database governance aficionado. But his greatest accomplishment is fathering us so sincerely and guiding us -- always generous with his time and advice. When times were tough, my Dad still found a way to support us. "Always have the freedom to choose," he'd say and "Never drag your feet." A renaissance man to boot, Dad paints beautifully, plays guitar and accordion and can fix just about anything--especially our broken hearts. I wouldn't be the accomplished and refined / authentic woman I am today without my Dad. I'm so blessed. happy Father's Day.
