the other thing that we're missing from the loss of the 22 episode season is a tech-based monster of the week episode the teaches us the dangers of computers (The X-Files' "Ghost in the Machine"; Buffy the Vampire Slayer's "I Robot, You Jane"). like i don't think we'd be having all this trouble with a.i. if people remembered Moloch the Corruptor.
