Event like this never really holds Ambrose’s interests as surprisingly she doesn’t like the idea of being in the centre of attention, but after seeing some of her classmates and Caroline take part – she thought it would be a great little way to take her minds of things and to perhaps take advantages of the peace whilst she can. Seeing the big movie screen up front was quite impressing and the amount people who gather for the screening was more than she was originally expecting, “Hey, do you know what movie they’re screening?” The brunette asked, turning towards the stranger beside her for a moment as she wasn’t paying complete attention when the organiser explained the rest of the event to them.

Caroline was buzzing with excitement. This was the first town event that she hadn’t helped organize in a long time, and for once it was nice to just....enjoy the evening. Spotting Ambrose the blonde smiled widely, rushing over to her side. “You’re here! They’re playing Grease, a super cute idea right? I’m so excited to see who won my basket.”

The date with Enzo had certainly been a surprise...but she was having a nice time. An actual date was something she hadn’t had in months, and she was having a good time. Taking a moment to run to the bar and grab some more drinks she bumped into the other girl, eyes widening. “Oh I’m so sorry - I was....looking at the screen.” she admitted with an awkward laugh. “I just love this scene.”

“Shh, be quiet I love this part!” Cassie hushed the other, eyes focused intently on the huge screen. “I relate to Frenchy so much. I feel like I should dye my hair pink. Would I suit pink hair?” The young witch cast a glance toward the other, brow raising for a moment before her gaze then slipped back to the screen, singing the lyrics to Beauty School Dropout beneath her breath as a happy smile lit up her features.

Caroline had made her way over to Cassie to give her a drink, having spotted the other girl at her own picnic date with Caleb. Finally. “You would look so cool with pink hair. Not that school would allow it but you know.” she couldn’t help but laugh, passing the girl the cup with a smile, humming along to the tune. She’d watched the film so many times before, but she loved it.

It was the perfect opportunity for Enzo to take her on a date after all that they had been through lately, she deserved a break assuming that he would be the one who win her basket during the auction, there’s nothing a little compulsion couldn’t fix but to his surprise – he won fair and square. It may come as a surprise but Enzo dressed up too, it wasn’t much of a difference but at least he made he effort on wearing one of his nicer jackets. 

A smirk dances across his lips as he approached where Caroline had set up their picnic, needless to say everything was perfect – spot on. He couldn’t but to wonder if any of the other participants were impressed by the blonde’s effort, “Who’s this lucky mysterious person then?” Enzo spoke up, voice laced with that familiar accent and deep tone. Without another word, he sat down across where the blonde was. Eyeing all of the different items she had brought along, “Hm, my favourite.” Enzo said, before popping one of the strawberry into his mouth.

His voice was enough to make her jump - she’d been so focused on setting everything up perfectly that she hadn’t been paying attention to Enzo approaching. A loud huff passed through the blondes lips at the sight of her friend taking one of the strawberries from the basket, evidently unimpressed by his actions. 

“Hey - stop that.” she lent forwards to hit him lightly on the arm, a scowl on her features. If it was anyone else she would of kicked off at the male for messing up the strawberries she’d laid out so neatly, but....well, Enzo was different. He’d been there so much for her, she couldn’t even try and feel mad at him. “They’re for my date. I don’t know who the mystery person is, but I want everything to be perfect.” a small sigh came from Caroline as she adjusted one of her curls, looking over the blanket. “I know it’s....just a stupid auction, but I haven’t had a date in...well, in a long time. Even if it’s just for charity, I want to make it special.”

“And...done.” 

Caroline had really outdone herself this time. Maybe it was because it was the first event she could go to since turning into a vampire, or maybe it was because she hadn’t been on a date in months but..well, she’d gone a little overboard. The picnic basket was neatly splayed out on the ground, and on top was an array of things. Homemade cookies that she’d iced to theme the film, two different wines to cater to her mystery dates taste, she’d even read online how to caramelize the popcorn herself, placing them in mason jars with ribbons tied round. She’d even brought a vase to prop the flowers up in that she’d brought along, and laid out neatly she decided it was finally ready. 

Dropping down to kneel on the blanket she sighed to herself, content as she looked around at the others obviously setting up their blankets. It was the first event in a long time she hadn’t helped organised...and though she knew she could of added some cuter touches (like diner food being served at the bar and in cute glasses instead of cheap plastic cups) it was exciting to experience the event so...unprepared. Now all she had to do was wait and see who her mystery bidder was.

@contrclfreak​ Stefan had been doing everything in his power to try and help Caroline, and at the moment it was proving difficult but he eventually found a trustworthy witch- none other than Carolines close friend Cassie. He’d got exactly what she needed in order to be able to go out into the sunlight- a daylight ring.  Hopefully this would brighten Caroline’s mood a lot more especially since she’d been stuck inside for a long period of time it would turn anyone crazy. But now he was able to deliver the ring to her and see her smile. And he couldn’t help but smile at the mere thought of it. As he approached her house, he gave three knocks before stepping back slightly waiting for her to answer.

It was difficult to stop being in a bad mood recently, and she wasn’t sure whether it was due to the mood swings, the cravings or just the general lack of power to choose when she could go outside. Not seeing her friends was certainly a big factor of it all. Even the ones that bothered to come to her house she had to lie to, to tell them she couldn’t go out for a drink or a shopping spree. It was disheartening to say the least, and she couldn’t help but sigh as there was a knock at the door. This was always a tricky bit, opening the door and taking a few quick steps back so if the sun was directing rays at the sunlight it wouldn’t burn her. “Stefan?” she blinked, looking at him with some surprise. “Did we have plans? Because I totally forgot, sorry.”

Bonnie was happy Caroline was still herself. he didn’t know how being a vampire would change her personality wise. “You sure you’re okay,” She said, looking around. She didn’t know how well her control was. “I’m good. Weirdly kind of great as well,” She said. “I mean I’m just glad my Grams hasn’t given me a broom yet,” She said, trying to crack a joke.

“Yeah! I mean, there’s the whole wanting to eat people every now and then, but Stefan’s really helping me keep it under control.” Caroline reassured her with a bright smile. She really was lucky, without Stefan and Enzo she would of been at a complete loss...but with them helping her she felt like she could handle it. “Brooms come after the pointy hat” she teased with a laugh, eyes gleaming playfully. “And the crystal ball of course”

As Mary entered Caroline’s home, she was a little concerned about Caroline, noticing all the curtains were closed, and things appeared rather unkept. It was almost as if Caroline wasn’t very well.She looked at her friend wit a concerned gaze, walking towards her with a sigh. “Would you like me to get you something? Soup may help you feel better.” Mary replied, a warm smile on her lips as she watched her closely, noticing she seemed rather edgy. “Then why don’t we go shopping? It might be fun and make you feel better!” She suggested, a grin appearing on her lips.

Caroline’s features visibly softened at Mary’s offer. She was always so sweet to her, even when she was off the rails over one insignificant thing or another. “I....that sounds great but..” she trailed off, unsure of what to say. She wasn’t the quickest on her feet, and she was a terrible liar, especially to her friends. “I’m just not feeling great enough to go out around people right now.”

“God, you make it sound like I’ve banished him or something. We’re friends, but if he wanted to ask me out on a date I wouldn’t exactly say no. When he’d asked me to the Founders Ball I thought...maybe...but we’re just friends.”
