If I had 5 euros every time I see those excuses for race bending the Greek gods I would be super rich by now!

1) Egypt was not "fully Black". Egyptians were in their majority South Mediterranean people. (Please ask actual Egyptians about this). Also the user makes it sound like Greece and Egypt had population exchanges every 10 years.

2) There are Slavic Indians. That is a totally solid reason for us to depict the Indian gods like white caucasian people! (Nope). There are Chinese Nigerians! This is a totally legit reason to depict old Nigerian deities as Chinese! (Nope). In the old times there was a significant white majority in China, which the Chinese wiped out. Guess what, we can now race bend the local Chinese gods! (Not).

Because the are/were Black Greeks, Asian looking Greeks, Nordic looking Greeks that doesn't mean the Greek gods should be portrayed that way. Minorities existed literally in every country in the world. Isn't it strange how nobody is complaining that other countries (except Greece) didn't change the depictions of their local gods to represent their minorities?

Imagine this user going to a person from Ghana and saying "I am going to depict your local gods as Philippino because I want to represent the Philippino minority in the Ghana. If you don't like that you are racist."

---- Also, I wanted to talk to that person to understand their reasons further but they immediately blocked me, another Greek. I was eager to have a conversation but they weren't. In (We didn't even get to a debate part because they blocked me). Greeks can disagree on race bending. Them being a Greek couple doesn't automatically make them correct on everything. Heck, I don't claim I am correct either. My opinion is not a paradigm which the whole world has to live by. I don't insist on that.

Yes, I will debate but I can accept people disagreeing with me. Granted, I will talk about our disagreement more with other people and maybe post it here but I am not going to attack them, defame them or block them. (I blocked this person now because they blocked me first and I have no desire to continue talking to such people).

Also I believe I gave no indication for whom this user is. In case you understand who it is, please don't go and harass them.
