Summary: While on a retirement vacation in Hawaii, Dean and Cas unexpectedly stumble upon a case, even though they don’t hunt anymore. As a result, they will have to face not only a brutal, gruesome crime, but also their own insecurities, fears and buried emotions. 

Excerpt: Castiel stepped aside, revealing the view to Dean. Dean instinctively recoiled. At the bottom of the ditch, partially buried in decaying vegetation, lay a skeleton. And it wasn’t a “normal” skeleton – one like that wouldn’t have made an impression on Dean; he’d seen hundreds of them. This one had a tail.

I don’t say this lightly, but I genuinely think this is the best piece I’ve ever created.

Every painting teaches me something, and this one feels like all those lessons finally came together. The course I’ve been taking has also helped me immensely, I t’s completely changed how I think about the painting process, and I finally feel like things are starting to click.

I did, however, almost lose my mind somewhere around peony number three… and then I realized there were a lot more peonies to paint. 😂

I’m incredibly proud of how this turned out.

I got this Sketchbook called "One Sketch A Day" and I started it June 6th. So far it's been a lot of SPN practice sketches, but these ones are the first two I think are solid enough to show here 🫣😂

I'm so used to digital, traditional is still a struggle orz (especially cuz I cant just select parts and move them around or change their size ugh)
