I told myself I wasn’t going to come on here anymore. “Here” has always been a place that I’ve been ashamed of because not having support from the people who birthed you naturally comes with that. The latter means that is what drew me here. guess I just feel like if I had my parents all my problems would be solved. But I don’t have to dig to know this is not true. There are people with everything in this world that feel exactly the way I do. This feeling isn’t unique. There’s a lot of guilt that comes with feeling this way. Again, not sure what to do with feeling like this…
“So tell me gentleman, tell me the time and place where it was easy to be a woman.”
— Andrew Sean Greer, The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells
“One of the hardest lessons in life is letting go. Whether it’s guilt, anger, love, loss or betrayal. Change is never easy. We fight to hold on and we fight to let go.”
— Unknown
I assure you, I’m not put together at all. Nor am I broken. I am recovering - finding the beautiful in the ugly and stitching it into my life.
Rachel Wolchin
“When I was young, I used to admire intelligent people; as I grow older, I admire kind people.”
— Abraham Joshua Heschel
“Close some doors. Not because of pride, incapacity or arrogance, but simply because they no longer lead somewhere.”
— Paulo Coelho
“Some say I’m too sensitive but the truth is I just feel too much. Every word, every action and every energy goes straight to my heart.”
— Nofacewrites
Feeling too much can hurt sometimes, but one day you grow and realize that your heart was never really broken. It was just wide open.

The Diary of Anaïs Nin, 1944–1947
I thought I had been surviving, and yet, what I was really doing was hanging by a string, loosely holding myself from collapsing. I was always on the verge, and I could feel that friction in my soul.
Fariha Róisín, from Who Is Wellness For?: An Examination of Wellness Culture and Who It Leaves Behind
Kate Chopin, from The Awakening
“I feel very small. I don't understand. I have so much courage, fire, energy, for many things, yet I get so hurt, so wounded by small things.”
Anaïs Nin, from nearer the moon: the previously unpublished unexpurgated diary,1937-1939
i am a different person than who i was last year. my hair is longer and i cry less and i am stronger. i am a different person than who i was six months ago. i am free and different and am embracing change. i am a different person than who i was a month ago. i sit in the sunlight without worry and i don’t let things stick and i look up and smile. i am a different person than who i was last week. i explore more and look at the sky and laugh more. i am a different person than who i was yesterday. i let go and breathe. i am whole.
