for reference im referring to trains within victoria. sunshine is comfortably within melbourne and melbourne is in the middle of victoria. ordinarily you can get as far west as warrnambool by train. if this was a day that the overland runs to adelaide that would go over the border to the west but it's not. so the concept of only being able to travel west to the centre of the state is obscene.

east and north are also bad but im bringing up west bc all the westbound metros are down for maintenance as well so you can't even go west within the city. the xpt doesn't stop by sunshine just goes past. the furthest you can get off west is jacana which is north.
