[A/N]: Ahh, its been a while! Thank you for the request. I'm so honoured you like my stuff! I don't have much experience with writing a transgender reader, so I hope I did okay! ( ´;ﾟ;∀;ﾟ;)
CAPTAIN CURLY
-> He's pretty supportive! It's in his nature to be patient and kind. In fact, he's pretty happy that you trust him enough to come out with something so significant to you. If you kept it under wraps for a while, he totally understands! He gets the prejudice that comes with being part of any minority and you need however much time you took. If you figured it out recently and then went to talk with him, he's more likely to ask about how you figured it out. He's curious, but he's glad that you seem happier!
-> He doesn't want to lie though, he doesn't know much about the process of transitioning or what it means to feel dysphoric. He can be sympathetic, but that doesn't mean it'll always click in his head. Nevertheless, he does his best to understand what it's like.
-> You can notice his language around you changing. Definitely tries his best to make you feel confident in small ways. He'll mention something with 'the boys' and glance at everyone, including you. Curly is a bit of a sucker for nicknames, especially for people who he feels close to, so expect to be called bud or champ. It's a little funny how much of a suburban dad he can sound like, but he is trying!
-> Will ask if you need accommodations, though. It's the Captain's job to make sure everyone on the ship is at their best mentally and physically! Pony Express won't necessarily treat anyone well, but he'll try and make things easier for you.
-> In a way, he feels responsible for you. He understands masculinity brings it's own set of troubles and that isn't even including the process of transitioning itself. He tries to take you under his wing, as much as you allow it. He just wants the best!
DAISUKE
-> Daisuke is probably your number one hype man! He gets it, in a way. More in the 'Oh, I know people who have transitioned since I'm part of the younger generation' rather than a full-on understanding.
-> Expect him to police your wardrobe. He wants to make you feel like you're naturally a part of things. Of course you're coming shopping with him, he needs another guy to help find outfits that'll get him the cutest chicks!
-> Honestly, he probably gets more comfortable around you. Curly and Swansea are cool and all, but he wants a guy he can relate to! Anya is sweet, and Jimmy is… well, Jimmy. Daisuke is over the moon at the concept of being able to just chill with someone onboard like he could back at home.
-> Expect lots of late night chilling out (at least before the Pony Express curfews hit). He talks about anything and everything.
-> If you get dysphoric, he'll try his best to comfort you. In all honesty, he might not know exactly what to say, but it's endearing to see him try, and there's an earnestness when he says that you're one of his closest friends.
-> Ultimately, Daisuke is one of the best to come out to. He understands it, and honestly not much changes between the two of you. It's a casual acceptance, but it means the world.
SWANSEA
-> Being part of the older generation, he doesn't get it at first. Unfortunately the type to not get it or perhaps say something along the lines of 'back in his day.' However, this is only his initial reaction.
-> He can't say he can understand it fully. A lot of this stuff just doesn't click in his mind. His masculinity was always unquestioned. He's a traditional man. Blue-collar job, wife and kids, pet dog. He has it all in terms of the concept of 'being a man.' That, he gets. The roughness, the inability to share actual emotions. He's well-versed in it all.
-> I expect his kids to be quite open-minded. It wouldn't be surprising for him to bring up his kid's friends in an attempt to bond with you. They've likely asked about his understanding of the LGBTQ community. While Swansea is rough, he is not mean. Of course, he supports it. It isn't his life. He has his lane and people have theirs. Why should he care what other people do?
-> The longer he thinks about it though, the more understanding he is. It takes a lot of courage to come out, especially on a ship where you can't leave if there's a scuffle. In a way, your self-expression makes you more of a man than he ever could be. You have the strength, the mental perseverance that he can't say he has.
-> If he had a better relationship with alcohol, he would invite you out to the pub if they ever made it off the ship. He might not drink, but the experience of a lads night out would be good for you. To 'toughen you up', he'd say. In reality, it's his rough way of showing his acceptance and care. That you're doing exactly what you need to be and that there's always a place for you.
-> He won't really pry into the medical aspects of it unless you bring it up yourself. Again, it's not his life to worry over. However, if you are medically transitioning in any way and decide to bring it up, he's more worried about the care you need, in his own gruff way of showing it. He's the type of man to bulk buy your favourite snacks because 'they were on offer', and totally not because he saw you struggling especially hard that day.
JIMMY
-> He's honestly very mean about it, especially if you aren't close. His own perception of his masculinity is very fragile in itself. He already sees himself as inferior and he hates it. You confessing this to him just makes you an easier target to his abrasive nature. He'll pick on you, but he doesn't particularly care much about it.
-> However, if he was a close friend of yours, he'd be decently nicer about it. He's in the same boat with Swansea and Curly where he just… doesn't fully get it. It's an unique experience and he doesn't really have the social life around him to know people who have transitioned, or even a friend of a friend who did.
-> Will genuinely be baffled if you're decidedly fem!presenting even while your transitioning or if you've finished transitioning. Very, 'sure, I guess' about it, but in his head he cant comprehend it. He lets it stay an inside thought though.
-> He's another one who cares about the way you present. Both in the way it reflects on him, but also how it reflects on you. He's not going to sugar-coat it, but he will tell you better ways to present if he can. Especially when it comes to behaviours and language. Take up space, lean in this way, be more casual, drawl your voice more. Little bits and pieces of advice he thinks would work for you. It's his casual way of helping.
-> Jimmy's the type of guy to rib into his friends. It can be malicious in some cases, but he flowers it with his friendship so it doesn't feel that painful in the moment. It's, unfortunately, not much of an exception with you. However, he doesn't attack the fact your transitioning. In fact, he gets irritated if anyone else pries in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, especially around him. Only he can do that, not that pathetic loser.
-> Ultimately, he's an… alright person to talk to about it. He won't care about the logistics of it but he'll help you in the small ways he thinks matters.
ANYA
-> Genuinely the best person to come out to on the ship. She's medically trained and has the empathy to help in any way possible. Again, an experience like that is unique, However, her training has helped to her better understand the nuances of transitioning and how it can affect a person both mentally and physically.
-> Again, Pony Express isn't the kind of company that would help a person transition. However, if there was any chance Anya could help you, she would.
-> The best confidant you'd have on the ship. She already knows the procedures that come with the baseline mental checks on Pony Express, but she's more than happy to let you talk to her whenever you need it.
-> Off the ship, she'd also be more likely to help you present better, but specifically in the make-up department if that's your thing! She spends ages finding make up that helps people look more masculine and tries her best to do the same routines with you. It doesn't look the best initially, but the time you spend together is more than enough, right?
-> She worries the most whenever you feel especially dysphoric. She brings your favourite snacks, or tries to distract you. Anything that she knows will help you feel better, she does. Truly, an angel among them all.

I don't know if people would be interested in a Senjyushi/Mouthwashing AU, but I have some headcanons as to how it would play out. I understand a lot of people probably wouldn't be too interested in it, though since Senjyushi is like.. not the most well known. I'd probably have to explain it all, too....

Instead, he focuses on noticing the little details he'd never seemed to pick up on initially. You had it bad for him, huh?
-> Curly teases you about it. He never mentions them directly, but he will often exaggerate his behaviours to the most recent letter he read. You mentioned how tall he was. He's sure to flaunt it off more.

You sighed to yourself, stretching to try and grab some simple condiment packets you swore were placed on the countertop the last time you saw them. Luckily for you, Curly walks in at the perfect moment. When you ask for help, he gives a confident grin as he nods, stepping towards you. As expected of him.
What you didn't expect was the warm hand he placed on your hip or the way his chest pressed into your back as he grabbed exactly what you were asking for, the steady thrum of his heartbeat only making yours speed up. You're left red-faced and stuttering, nervous hands taking the packets out of his larger one.

JIMMY:

-> It's simply too cute. The way you sneak around to keep it anonymous and the way you wear your heart on your sleeve. He's delighted by how much of your mind he occupies. It excites him to think about how much you try to learn about him. Do you know his routine by heart? What about his likes and dislikes? Better yet, were you trying to mould yourself into the perfect partner for him (although this seems more of a dream on his part than a genuine question...)? He gets a sick kick out of it.

He's inspired by those accounts that post couple fits, wanting to do the same with your style.

Of all people!? Like his outfit!?! He's hit the jackpot!
ANYA:
-> Initially, Anya is intimidated. However, it easily melts away at how kind you are! Instead, she's quickly charmed by your confidence to wear gyaru fashion when it's not very conventional.
-> Supports it fully! She does extensive research into the subculture. Dedicates her time to learning about the different types of Gyaru styles and its history - the whole nine yards!
-> She likely won't dress up in that style, but you have inspired her to focus more on fashion. Those socks and sandals may be good for work, but not the best for streetwear style. She doesn't wear extremely alternative outfits but is drawn to simpler and neutral outfits that still scream fashionable.
-> Anya holds onto one of your hairpins when she works! It's a sweet reminder of you and her patients compliment her for it. It's a win-win!
-> While you're preparing for a date with her, she'll walk into the bathroom, observing how you do your make-up and taking note of your routine. Eventually, she builds up the courage to ask if she could do it for you, promising with a grin that it'll look great.
-> You're sitting in the bedroom, nimble hands cupping your face as Anya draws your eyeliner on, tongue sticking out in concentration as she works on keeping it even on both sides. -> If you're in a relationship, I could see him warming up to it. He'd still prefer it if you didn't wear it but if it makes you happy... Plus, having a cute girl like you on his arm is certainly an ego booster. He buys you a skirt or two, smirking when you notice its shortness compared to your usual ones.
"What? Don't like it? I thought this sorta thing was up your alleyway? You'd look sexy in it anyway, doll."

-> Swansea can only sigh. This isn't his first rodeo with self-expression. His kids have done it all, including driving him up the wall as they explore their identity through their fashion. It doesn't make him any less confused, unfortunately.

You balance each other out, Daisuke becoming your voice when you don't feel able to speak up, and you becoming his leash for when his antics become too much for the rest of the crew.
-> During your first days on the Tulpar, you found yourself accustomed to the different personalities on the ship, including Daisuke. He found you to be the most interesting on the ship, although your skittish nature made it hard for him to connect with you. He grinned, creating a mission for himself. He would become your friend, no matter how shy you were!
-> Daisuke is a naturally clingy guy, a total sucker for any kind of physical touch. One morning, he slings his arm over your shoulder, pulling you in for a friendly conversation. He doesn't miss the way your pretty eyes don't quite meet his or the way you fidget with whatever your hands can grab onto. It captivates him. Was the lounge always this small, or was it just his proximity to you making the world seem so lacklustre in comparison?
-> He whines to Swansea, begging him for advice, pleading with puppy eyes for some tips on how to break through your shyness. All he gets in response is a whack on the head with a rough command to get back to work without his head in the clouds. If you're close to any of the other characters, he clumsily attempts to interrogate them, asking how they got you so comfortable around them.
-> Your shyness isn't bad! He just wants to get to know you, so he tries to break through initially. He's happy for you to stay reserved, so long as you spend time with him! If anything, he finds it cute. The way you stumble over your words, fidget with your clothes and blush when he does anything too forward. It gives him cuteness aggression. He wants to squish your cheeks together and litter kisses all over, eyes glistening with mirth as he feels you flounder under his touch.
-> Daisuke is a man of quality time. Whenever Swansea bats him away from work, you're the person he goes running to. Entwines his hand into yours while talking into your ear, rubbing soft circles into the back of your hand, the cold metal of his rings pressed into your palm as you walk laps around the ship. Nights on the Tulpar are spent coddled up in his room, Daisuke playing on his Game Boy as you watch, a pout on his face as he passes it over for your turn once he dies. He hugs you from behind, eyes focused on the small device... His heart still leaps at the way your breath hitched at how close he was, feeling his breath along your neck.

Daisuke stumbles over his words, suavely leaning on the doorframe to the utility room, trying to cover the absolute carnage behind him. You didn't need to see the mess strewn across the floor, papers and tools spread in every which way. As he opens his mouth to speak again, he's cut off with a yell from Swansea. You feel the weight of a hand placed on your shoulder with a nervous chuckle, the man giving you a dorky, lopsided grin.
"Work calls. I'll see you in my room later... Right? Notlikethatunlessyouwantittobebut— ack! You know what I mean!"
He can't save himself, but he can always run, delaying having to hear your response for a few hours. Just enough time to bring his composure back. He gives you a nod and runs back into the utility, leaving you alone to wonder what the hell just happened.

His worries for his future and family build up gradually, creating a weight that seats itself into his chest uncomfortably. He talks to you about his future, hoping you can lend an ear. Of course, he'll do the same for you! Rest your head in his lap as you talk about your issues, and he'll happily listen, offering advice when he can, but more importantly, keeping you happy. You're a rare treasure, after all.

Has a picture of you both from a date you went on before working on the Tulpar in his leather wallet. He keeps it on him at all times and stares at it when he feels especially bad.
-> Jimmy rolls his eyes and sinks back into his chair when he watches Curly look at the picture like a man who's been at war for a decade.
-> Anya can only giggle when she glances at the two of you in the kitchen before your shifts start, voices hushed as Curly presses a soft kiss to your forehead before the day starts.
-> Swansea grumbles whenever he sees you two getting overly affectionate, you leaning against Curly during a heated game night aboard the ship. His demeanor changes when he notices the familiar glimmer of adoration in Curly's eyes, reminding him of how he felt about his wife back on Earth. At least you two didn't have to deal with long-distance dating.
-> Daisuke hopes to have a relationship like yours! He playfully banters with Curly, asking how he pulled someone like you. Wants to hear everything about your relationship. Treats you two like his pseudo-parents, giving you a sneaky wink whenever he steals another sweetener packet, a shared promise not to tell Curly.
-> Much more affectionate in private. He still needs to play captain, after all. Professionalism is important in the workplace! He's the type to play soft music in the background while you both relax, holding each other under thin blankets as he places gentle kisses on any part of you he can reach, stubble tickling your skin. He loves to hold your hand in any way but enjoys more subtle touches (like locking pinkies together). When walking with you in the dim halls, he places a gentle hand on the small of your back to let you know he's there.

-> Loves to tease you. He wants to see you smile, especially because of him. Expect feather-light touches on your waist that make you shiver, followed by a deep chuckle at your reaction. He leaves his post early (relying on his co-pilot and Tulpar's autopilot system to pick up his slack) to visit you, ensuring you're "doing your tasks correctly." Not to see you jump at his voice or when he places his large hand on your shoulder. Not at all!
(POST-CRASH) CAPTAIN CURLY:
-> He's sorry. He's so, so, sorry.
-> Initially, the pain of his injuries causes him to cry. Eventually, the thoughts of you burn more than the searing pain that reminds him of his consciousness. He weeps as if he has truly lost you, for how could someone love a man so misguided?
-> If you ever visit him, he feels sick. How could you still want to see him after all this? He was a failure of a man, yet here you were with a kind smile as if nothing happened.
-> He'd love to hear your voice. It was more pleasant than the silence of the Medical Bay or from Jimmy's ramblings. How were the crew? How were you? He'd feel especially guilty if you talked about your relationship and what you hoped they could do before the crash. The date plans, the simple times spent together. He could dream of it, still.
-> Read him a story. It'll help him sleep easier. It reminds him of those nights when the two of you chatted about nothing, dozy and delirious off each other's presence, lulling yourselves into a comfortable sleep when Pony Express couldn't care enough to provide a good sleeping quarter.
-> His heart breaks at the sight of you dishevelled, tired of surviving on the Tulpar. He wished he had his hands back to gently trace the curves of your face and hold you close to him as you forgot about the world. He still tries to comfort you, a garbled noise here, or a small movement of his arm to try and show his support.
-> As he recovers back on Earth, he'd be ecstatic to have you by his side. Having you by his side was the quickest way for him to recover.
-> If he recovers his voice, the first thing he says is a quiet thank you and a simple "I love you." The apologies came later. He just needed to make sure you knew how lucky he was to have someone so perfect.
-> Likely during recovery, I'd imagine him needing some kind of service animal. It may not be the kids he was hoping for, but having you and a pet was something he only dreamt about while staring into the fake sunset.
-> He becomes much more open about his emotions. The pain of not being able to vocalise them is one he never wants to face again. Tender nights and open communication become commonplace in your relationship.
-> He's still the #1 wife guy, only cranked up to 1000. If you thought he was bad before, you haven't seen the man now. If he ever gets drunk, he sobs about how much he loves you to anyone in his vicinity. He could do it sober but doesn't want to embarrass you (too much). He takes the time to learn your favourite recipes, making them when he can and makes sure to compliment you at least once a day. He just wants you to love yourself the way he loves you!
-> Your time together is peaceful and he wouldn't want it any other way.
