The girl had ordered her drink and was off… she didn’t even know where right now, leaving Liliana to her own devices. “Oh, I can completely see the fascination with bars now.” Liliana spoke with a sigh, half wishing she’d stayed back at home and worked on her reading list instead of being stood awkwardly by the bar.

"You look a little lost,” Cora observed, smiling softly. “I’m guessing it was not your idea to come here?”

“I think most stories follow a similar pattern. But who says what’s good and bad though? Something may be good for some and bad for others,” Cora mused.

“ oh. ” it’s a gentle, disappointed sort of sound, but understanding is plain on the young woman’s features. “ tulips would be lovely, thank you. In white, if you’ve still got them, ” she amended with a small nod. “ do you… do you have any recommendations on other flowers that would go with white tulips ? ” elsa knew flowers - everyone knew flowers - but she wasn’t someone who made a profession out of them, and especially didn’t know their language.

Cora took a moment to consider the question. “I think tulips in different colours, perhaps blue and violet, would complement white the best. But if you’re looking for a different kind then I suggest irises or freesias.”

“I mean roses are kind of superior to tulips- tulips don’t really say, happy valentines day sorry i’m such a screw up.” Billy commented as he rubbed the back of his neck. “Have you got anything else- lilies? daisies-.. wait, are daisies used for funerals?”

"I think words would speak louder than flowers in such case,” she winked at the other. “However, I would suggest something classy. So maybe red lilies or white tulips? They symbolize passion and forgiveness.”

“I told him this was too last minute,” Sarah muttered to herself grumpily. “That’s fine, thank you. My boss wanted roses for the station just for today but I’ll tell him they’re all sold out. He should’ve known better if you ask me.”

"I’m sorry. Usually, others pre-order months in advance and while we increase stock each year, we always run out by midday,” she explained, smiling sadly.

Bucky’s smile grew at that suggestion and he nodded his head in agreement after a moment. “That’d be perfect actually if you could put them together for me?” Came the request.

“But of course. I’ll put something extra too,” she winked at him. “Would you also like a ribbon?”

“What about freesia’s then?” Bucky queried, clearly not sold on the idea of tulips. 

Cora perked up, looking pleased that the other actually knew the names of other types of flowers. “Yes, we still have some. They would look lovely with peonies.”

"I’m sorry, we don’t have any roses left,” Cora explained sadly. “Can I interest you in some tulips?”
