Inactivity Notice

dear all my lovely followers who may or may not have been wondering where i’ve disappeared to,

it's been four months since i've last posted on here, and it's time for me to declare this blog inactive. i've been thinking a lot about how i want to approach my roleplay blogs moving forward, and i feel like i never really got into the swing of things here. i don't have any intentions of returning to this blog ( but never say never ).

`--thalia won't tell me how you two met,` not that jason isn't a little scared right now (he is; she's an amazon--is he meant to be calm?), but he knows there's no use in beating about the bush with his questions. if she's anything like reyna, then he should just get to the point before she snaps at him. `so i figured i'd just ask you. how did the hunters and amazons meet? you're affiliated with different camps--have you known each other long?`

hylla is going to have words with thalia. words like ‘why oh why couldn’t you have just told him the story - no i don’t care that it’s embarassing - and spare me from having to pretend to be polite to your little brother’.

s i g h. she supposes she can’t easily get out of answering this innocent - well, innocent enough, question.

‘the hunters and amazons have always been allied. while we have historically had our disagreements, we have many of the same fundamental beliefs.’ her voice is curt, like she’s reading off a script.

‘i never met the hunters under their previous lieutenant, but naturally i knew of them. our societies hadn’t directly interacted for several decades before your sister accidentally chased a small pack of hellhounds into one of our major storefronts and got herself taken prisoner by some of the newer recruits.’

now a small smile threatens to break hylla’s stoic composure. that had been an interesting phone call to wake up to.

She could have been Reyna’s twin. Her eyes were just as piercing, just as authoritative – it must have been Hylla, a Roman demigoddess ( and Queen of Amazons ) whom he’d only heard happy, yet sad, stories about. It’s too bad Reyna wasn’t around right now…

Hylla recognizes the small, dark-haired boy all right - she did personally receive information from her Amazons on her sister’s odd questing companions in San Juan, including photographs of the male child and older satyr. His question may be innocent enough, but her eyes flash briefly when he addresses her - is he brave or foolish?.

“Excuse me?” Buzzkill? Low blow, Thalia - and was she honestly smiling? Hylla rested her head in her hands, groaning as she ran her fingers through her hair. “You are not filling out anything remotely pertaining to Amazon business...but I suppose you can sign off on our cooperation agreement. It doesn’t even have to be legible. And no to the coffee for me - at least not for another few hours.”
