Geology field trip to the San Juan Islands, 1951
This was a trip to the San Juan Islands to examine geological outcroppings and fossil specimens, 2-6 May 1951. Some sixteen geology majors, along with geology professor Norman Anderson, boat captain and chemistry professor Robert Sprenger, bursar Gerard Banks, and chaperone Mrs. Norman Anderson traveled in the college boat from Narrows Marina, Tacoma, to the islands on a five-day expedition, spending each night camping ashore.
