the craziest thing is that it happened. i got a group of friends who all love me and respect me and treat me well and i have fun with them and i became a person who has a favourite alcoholic drink despite never thinking i would have the chance to socially drink or even get to the age of being able to buy alcohol and i get sent texts that say "this reminded me of you" and i have conversations that i never thought i'd be able to have. i have begun to find myself in a way that i don't think i can lose and it is fantastic. i listen to my needs and hang out with people and do new and fun things all while being better at fighting that sense of shame. i didn't think i would get there but i survived and i think for the first time i am fully convinced in my want to keep going. i have things that i want to do, life that i want to live and i am not gonna let these things that have happened stop me from experiencing them.
