1. Constantly intensely staring at each other

some thoughts that made me go Woah girl, you've matured <3

so a few days ago i found out rather disappointing knowledge about a situation. and my instant reaction was to fall into misery bc hey i had REALLY been hoping for something greater. but then i was like. wait a minute! you already have this thing going on that's amazing and wonderful and all that you have dreamt of for years and now you find out that it's indeed not going to get any more better but it's already pretty damn great and you're angsty about it?? i realized that i shouldn't be sad about not getting more when nothing actually is taken from me. yeah i don't get that one extra thing. but i'm not losing anything either! i still have all that which makes my heart happy! i realized that i don't always need more. that i can't go and be all emo about a thing that's 99% already just bc i couldn't get that extra 1% you know. does it make sense? it sounded so clear in my head. ya you don't gain anything else but you will STILL have everything you already do have now and already do love now. and suddenly that disappointment wasn't that disappointing. i literally went on a walk with a purpose to cry and be Miserable but instead i ended up SMILING bc i started thinking about how good it already is. that's what i call growth

message to self: be grateful for what you have. more will come one day. but already today you have plenty more than you did a year ago. things take time. appreciate what is now <3

his fishing rod, from where it’s propped up beside him, hasn’t so much as twinged in the past half hour. he’s beginning to suspect that the only thing he’ll be catching on the hook this morning is some dead seaweed and a headache.

“snagged anything yet?” from his spot in the boat’s driver’s seat, pope’s voice cuts through the quiet like scissors through ribbon.

october is listening to hozier on your bed when it's just getting dark and crying and writing love letters to people who don't think about you quite as much and feeling your heart bursting out from your chest and getting really really nostalgic while looking at the yellow leaves and wondering if this is all that life is and smiling at street cats when it's raining gently and wishing that this one person would still go on sunset walks with you and feeling so so sad and so so content at the same time and hoping that the time would stop and dancing in your kitchen and all
