I hate doing visa run like what do you mean I need 100pages of document and a day off from work to go to a humiliation ritual where they ask all the personal infos about u and ur social status and then said "we'll consider it" and make u pay 1/5 of ur monthly salary and then u wait a week to see if they'll let u go to europe for 6 days or not and they won't refund u if they rejected it. Colonialism is alive and well.

We gotta cater to Europe and America and we gotta learn English if we ever wanna get anywhere in life and some jackass on the internet will still make fun and nitpick at a typo I made on a vent/tribute art I drew while crying and mourning a community's lost members

Got fined for a typo in one of the document and in the end I paid roughly $150 just to apply for visa. And also they had me book a flight on the spot to actually prove my commitment, which will be another $1000 that won't be refunded if they somehow want to reject my application. So that's great.

Visa is rejected, and I have 1 month to appeal or resubmit before I lost $1000. (And to appeal/resubmit, I will have to pay them another $150-160)

All this to beg them to let me visit Italy for a week.

By the way, the majority of people here receive a salary of around $300 on average. I'm above average but this still hit hard. If you live in "poor country with weak passport", you have to be rich to travel. I'm not but I'm extremely lucky to be an artist and able to fund such luxury by doing commission.
