“Oh, well, Tonks made this for me – with Ted’s help, of course. It was originally just beads and candy wrappers and little bits and bobs on a string, but Ted put a spell on it so it won’t fall apart or get damaged.” She touched the handmade necklace that hung around her neck and smiled. “It might be my favorite birthday present, ever.”

“Hey, that looks kinda’ like the bracelet I got on my birthday.” He holds up his wrist. “it’s made of  macaroni. Kids are adorable.”

Edgar grins. “Brings me back to my wedding too, honestly,” he says. “It’s nice. Remembering all the crazy stuff. The disasters, the joys, the tears.”

She looks up as the waiter sets her new drink down, and slides a galleon into his hand. “Just keep them coming.” He nods and walks back into the crowd. She takes a large drink from her glass and turns to Edgar.

“How many lesbians do you two know, that I don’t already know?”

Edgar chuckles. “I don’t know, I don’t know how many lesbians you know,” he says. “I will consider that a challenge, and I accept. Next year, you’re gonna’ be the dumb happy Bones sibling.”

“Both. Took you long enough, but you’re also my baby brother. Seeing you married is a very emotional thing. But good job for upholding the Bones family tradition of crying at your wedding.”

Bones Wedding

“Now everyone is going to want to set me up,” she mutters staring into her glass. “It’s not just going to be Sarah and Edgar anymore. Mom, Dad, I’m sure Charles will want to set me up with some sweet muggle girl.” She sighs before downing her glass and turning to one of the waiters for another drink.

He grins.  “Sarah and I already have ideas.”

“You know I’m always happy to be Aunt Amelia and hang out with the girls if you two ever need a night off.” She set her mug down. “I bet she is not happy about being on desk duty. Maybe I’ll bring her lunch sometime soon.” Shaking her head she turned her attention back to her brother. “You would think after three nieces I would be more prepared for you two to have kids.” She laughed and bumped her shoulder against his. 

Edgar grins. “And you’re a great aunt, you know they adore you. I’m definitely going to take you up on that; there’s never time to get out  for date night when there’s a new baby, so I gotta’ make sure Sarah gets as much time off to relax before we don’t have time.” He shakes his head. “She’s in  a foul mood. I’m sure she’d appreciate lunch.” He laughs. “I mean it was a bit of a surprise, in our defense. A welcome one, but still.  Mum and Dad said the number of kids we’re having is ridiculous, which is funny coming from a couple with three kids. I think they’re just bitter I’m having more than them.”

Only when you realize  you forgot to buy diapers. [ he grins before chuckling ] Nah, it’s not. Not the parenting part, at least. It can be stressful, but not scary. It’s more the world that’s scary.
