I like to think that due to Purple’s refusal to sign the NDA after the reactor’s explosion, Mira deemed them unworthy to be medically treated at any of their facilities and even refused to have any of the many doctors working under them even as much as check on them, leading Purple to having to treat their own injuries at home as they don’t have much money to afford an outside hospital visit (and their self treatment wasn’t their best work, they’re not that knowledgeable on how to treat themself and it wasn’t easy when they were in pain)
Also can we please talk about the fact Purple obviously has zero support system as they had to survive all on their own after their disastrous internship, like, don’t they have a family?? Friends outside Red? The more I think about it the more it hurts to think of the line “let’s say the captain, is the one that taught me that a ship can be a mighty lonely place” Red was probably their only friend, the only person that they trusted in their life, but Red fucked up big time
And how, despite being very open about their emotions, seem to hate the idea of feelings entirely? Can we talk about how much they try to repress their emotions? But crack easily when they actually have the opportunity to express themself and actually vent the many repressed emotions inside their chest cause they’re obviously desperate to have someone listen to them? (Them opening up to Cyan, them talking about how “not fine” they are when Green asks)
