Day Ten 07/04/2018

Last visit to the park today, for observation purposes anyway. Very busy again today with the easter holidays still in full effect.

A couple of adventurous people just been spotted from across the water on a pedalo. Obviously enjoying the 11 degrees heat.

Final observation complete. Similar to Day 8 with mainly families out enjoying the sun and plenty people making their way round the park for some exercise
Day Nine 06/04/2018

2 days in a row now at Strathclyde. Todays a little different however as I visit at the end of the day, in darkness.

All that can be heard is the few birds still around near the water and the water itself. Moon shining bright over the Loch.

Not a single person passed by during this visit. Definitely the quietest observation yet. Cold and boring.
Day Eight 05/04/2018

Easter holidays have brought out much more visitors to the park. That along with the bright blue sky and temperature at 9 degrees of course.

Smiles on the faces of everyone walking past as the nice weather is a lovely change from the cold weather in recent days
Day Seven 30/03/2018

slightly breezy weather at the park might impact the amount of visitors tonight. I guess we will find out in due course.

A total of 12 people so far including runners, cyclists, dog walkers and those out a casual stroll round the park.
7.01pm
Another observation complete. Few more people passed by since the last update. Varied gender and ages for the full hour. No specific age group enjoy walking round the park more than others.
Day Six 27/03/2018
12.01pm
Mild weather today. Still haven't seen anyone in the water since the day 3 visit. Maybe because of the time of year? Park not so busy right now.

Group of around 15 with carers and children which appear to have special needs arrived about 10 minutes ago to feed the ducks and swans. Looked as though everyone was enjoying themselves. Ducks and Swans included!
Day Five 20/03/2018

Latest visiting time yet to Strathclyde and there is poor visibility. Water is still as no water sports will take place at this time during these months.

3 people have travelled past so far. 1 runner who looked like he was out a daily jog and had luminous clothing on so he was easily seen. The other 2 were dog walkers walking together, clearly friends the way they were exchanging chat

5 more dog walkers have walked past since the last update. Must be a popular dog walking time despite the poor visibility.
Day Four 17/03/2018

Very busy at Strathclyde today as crowds gather to complete the weekly park run. everyone in great spirits despite the chill in the air. only 2 degrees!

the first participant to finish completed the 6K in 22 minutes. Clearly has done this before as he made it look easy! many more finishing right now with some of the less fit participants walking the remainder of the distance.

I believe everyone has finished the parkrun now. Was some spectacle!
Day Three 11/03/2018

Heading down for my third visit to Strathclyde Park just now. Hopefully more eventful than the last!

Straight away there is some better sights as the rowers are out on the water getting some training in. total of 4 boats, looks like they are racing each other!

a lot more activity today than day 2. not kept track of the exact number of people travelling past but definitely upwards of 20. No doubt the weather today has had an impact with a temperature of 8 degrees!
Day Two 28/02/2018

I have been at the park for 15minutes now and have not seen a single soul yet. The weather conditions are horrendous with red weather warning in full effect.

Only 3 dog walkers have walked past today, all looking freezing cold and not happy to be out. The dogs were loving it though as they jumped and rolled about in the snow. Fun times for some.
Day One 20/02/2018

I have just arrived at the park. The wind is calm and there are few people in sight.
3.31pm
So far, 8 people have passed me at my observation site on the bench in the south car park.
6 of them have been dog walkers and the remaining two were a pair of female runners. The runners looked worn out. Aged approximately 40-45 years. Four of the dogs were off leash suggesting that some dogs may not be trusted to interact with the other inhabitants of the park- the pond dwellers. Ducks and swans have also been sighted. There are many more ducks than swans. The birds do not seem to fear people as they wander around the banks and come near to the parked cars and benches.

One cyclist has passed me since the last update. He looked enabled and powerful as he rode his bike. Two more dog walkers have also strolled past. Both are kept on leashes.
