Daisy Dukes (Closed RP)

A familiar voice touched her ears. Rosalina turned to see none other than the Princess of SaraSara Land herself running towards them. Daisy was always an excitable one. So full of energy.

“Hello again, Daisy.” A fond smile was thrown her way. “Thank you for your support. Starla and I have not tried Smash Run before, so your good luck is appreciated.”

“*Yeah! I’m so excited!*” The Luma exclaimed, barely able to keep still. “*I’ve been practicing and training super hard with Mama! We just wanna get back into the swing of things before we actually fight anyone, though.*”

“…That reminds me…have you just arrived to the island yourself?”

“Well…” Daisy started.

“I just arrived back on the island…I was hosting a cruise trip for the last few weeks! I’m back now, though! I actually first arrived here on the island a few months back…”

“…What about you? Did you just get here?”

“A short while ago, yes.” Rosalina politely answered. “Hmm. So that’s why there are even more people coming in now. They were all on a cruise. I do hope it was enjoyable for you.”

“*Awwwww. That’s too bad, we could've gone too if we just came here sooner!*” Starla whined, looking rather dejected. A cruise sounded like lots of fun! “*Oh, well...*”

“Perhaps there will be something else to join in on in the future.” Rosalina assured. “And there is plenty of other things to do right here on the island, right, Daisy?”

Lost Lumas. (Closed RP with Cosmicmother)

Olimar stretched and yawned as he walked over to his ship and the three Onions sitting in their normal formations. Like he does every day, he gets out 20 of every Pikmin so he can do his daily exploration. Red, Blue, Yellow, White, and Purple Pikmin line up behind him in a tightly packed squad and all make small squeaks and peeps as they wait for their commander to get ready.

After everything is nice and complete, Olimar turns around and blows his whistle over his Pikmin, getting their attention, but three much larger and floating entities stick out like sore thumbs when they’re the only things that don’t begin to run around Olimar. 

“Oh my!” Is all he can get out before he already begins to march over to the three star-shaped figures. They’re all just looking around like Pikmin do, but they seem more lost than curious. “Is…everything alright?” Olimar says, fighting the urge to physically examine the three creatures.

“Starla? Ain? Navi?”

The celestial caretaker had been searching all morning for her little ones, floating around the island at a brisk pace. Lumas were usually well behaved creatures, but sometimes their curiosity ran away with them. Ain was something of an impulsive child, and Navi usually followed the oldest sibling to wherever they went…which was Starla, who was quite the adventurous sort.

Meanwhile…

“*Uuuuh…*” The youngest and smallest blue Luma, Navi, looked up at her sister in worry. “*I…I don’t think this is the way to Mama…*”

“*Mister? Um, do you know where our Mama is?*” Asked the green Luma, Ain., to Olimar. “*Starla got us lost again and we don’t know where she is.*”

“*I didn’t get us lost!*” Cried the oldest yellow Luma, Starla. “*We just gotta…uh…retrace our steps?*”

“*But…we don’t have feet…*”

“*…Oh.*” Right. OK. Let’s ask the small man directions, then, like Ain did! “*Um, what my little brother said. Do you know where our Mama is? She’s really tall, and really pretty, and has a dress and a crown…Oh, and a star-shaped wand!*”

Olimar was shocked to say the least. They seemed harmless, that much was certain. With an inch closer, he listened to the question. 

“Your mother. Hmm.” He tapped the side of his helmet like he does when he thinks and takes the star’s information into consideration. Tall and really pretty could be Peach. Especially with the dress and crown. He thought to himself. Though he wasn’t all too sure she had a star-shaped wand. And Peach had Toads, not stars, right? 

“Oh!” Olimar said with a small pop off of the ground. “Is your mother Rosalina? I think I know where she is, actually. If I’m correct, she was last at the beach. I wouldn’t mind escorting you there if you’d like. Just don’t mind the Pikmin.” He said with a smile on his face. With a quick check of his Pikmin to make sure they were ready, he began to walk down to the beach. He was pretty sure Rosalina was still there. He saw her on the way to the Onions.

“*Yeah! That’s Mama!*” Starla yelled, relieved. The other two younger Lumas cried out in joy, twirling around in the air and around Olimar as their way of thanking him. “*OK, mister! We’ll follow you to Mama!*” Luckily, Starla had been to the beach before, so she had an idea on where it was.

Meanwhile, Rosalina herself was still on the sandy shores, on her second sweep of the area on her search to find her lost children. Perhaps she should use the Cosmic Observatory to call them to her, if she still couldn’t find them…

“*Mama! Mama! Mama!*”

The cosmic mother immediately recognized the three little voices, and you could see the relief on her face once she saw the Lumas in view, following…some very strange floral creatures and what appeared to be a small man in a space suit. Once the Lumas saw their mother, they broke off and flew towards her, showering her in hugs and kisses.

“Children, are you alright?” She asked, concerned and glad they were safe. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you…”

“*It’s OK, Mama!*” Navi exclaimed. “*This nice man and his little friends knew where you were, so we followed him right to you!*”

Olimar couldn’t help but have a large cheeky smile spread across his face when Rosalina and the stars shoot off to Rosalina and begin to shower her in affection. He was just glad that he knew where Rosalina was. 

After waiting for a bit, Olimar leaves his Pikmin behind and walks up to Rosalina and, oh man, the stars weren’t kidding when they said tall. Olimar had to look up quite the bit just to see her eyes. Their height difference was ridiculous! With a shake of the head, he raised a gloved hand up to Rosalina and began to talk.

“Salutation, Rosalina! My name is Olimar. You might not know me, seeing how I don’t think we’ve properly met yet. I heard your name going around once you joined the island, but that’s all I know. It’s wonderful to finally meet you.”

The celestial mother looked down at the small man in question, a kind smile decorating her face. She leans down to take his hand and shake it in greeting. “Salutations to you, Olimar. It is nice to meet you as well. Thank you for finding and bringing my Luma children here...I had been looking for them ever since they ran off.”

“*We’re sorry, Mama...*” The Lumas all apologized at the same time, but Rosalina simply chuckled and patted them fondly. No harm, no foul.

“I was not aware that there has been talk of me and my Lumas.” She hummed in thought, wondering if that was a good thing or a bad thing. “Ah, well. Easier for everyone involved, I would think. And you? You and your friends are also participants to the tournament, I assume?” Rosalina asked, gesturing to the Pikmin around him. Curious little creatures. She wasn't a stranger to living plants, but she’s never seen beings quite like them before...

Super-Star Training (Closed RP with cosmicmother)

Even though he couldn’t participate in any of the fights, at the very least Proto Man could practice. Luckily, he was able to find the training room. There were a few other people in there, but he was able to find a secluded sandbag to practice his aim on. 

He fired a few shots at the sandbag before holding his shield in front of him. He steadied his aim while charging a shot, before it fired out and nearly knocked the sandbag over… before it sprung back up.

He sat down on a nearby bench to rest before continuing his training, and reached to take off his helmet. To his surprise, his helmet wasn’t there; it was gone. 

He looked around to make sure he didn’t accidentally misplace it and spotted something peculiar in the distance; his helmet floating in the air, not too far away from where he was standing, fortunately. He ran over and, before he could even try to grab it, it flew away quickly, which caused him to start chase after it.

“H-hey, come back here!”

The little Luma didn’t MEAN to steal Blues’s helmet. She just wanted some water, and happened to find this really cool looking thing on the bench next to the water fountain! She just wanted a peak inside, ya know, to see what the world looked like behind those awesome sunglasses!

…Then Starla found that she couldn’t see anything at ALL.

“*H-…Help!*” Thus, the little star started to panic, and ended up flying all over the place. Bumping into things, knocking some objects over, and all in all causing some chaos. “*I-I can’t see! M-Mama!*”

Bump. Another wall. Bump. That was another wall…right?

Bamf!

“*Oof!*”

Luckily, that last wall bump sent her floating towards Proto Man’s chest, stopping her frantic flying. Once the helmet was removed, the robot would find a small, yellow star-shaped creature, big black eyes blinking rapidly as they readjusted to the bright light of the building.

“*…Oh!*”

Proto Man frantically chased after his rogue helmet. He swore he heard some kind of muffed voice coming from inside it. It was possible that something small had gotten ahold of it. He wasn’t sure what that creature would be, though.

He skidded and stopped as the helmet, or whatever was wearing it started flying into things, and Proto Man didn’t want to be in the cross-fire. He turned his head and darted his eyes back and forth as he waited until he had a chance to try and stop what had now become a huge, flying projectile. But he really didn’t get a chance.

Finally, it floated slowly towards and bumped into him. This stopped it in its tracks and allowed him to remove the helmet.

It looked like some kind of star, not anything he had really ever seen before. They looked confused, so he assumed that they may have accidentally got trapped inside.

He hastily put his helmet back on and looked back at the star. Hopefully it wasn’t harmed.

“Are you okay?”

Blink blink. Blink.

"*Yeah, I'm OK, mister...*" The star said, still a bit dazed from all that moving around. "*Thank you...I couldn't see anything under that helmet! It's so dark and...um. Dark.*" When she saw that her savior had put on the helmet himself, the Luma then realized that it belonged to him.

"*Oh, is...is that yours? I'm sorry!*" She apologized. "*I didn't mean to run away with it, I kinda...couldn't see where I was going and got scared...*"

"Starla?"

Cue the celestial mother floating in from the other part of the room, a look of worry painted all over her face. She immediately scooped up the star in her arms, checking to see if she had injured herself. 

“I heard you call for help. Are you alright? What was all that noise?"

"*It's OK, Mama!*" The star child said, waving her arms around. "*I'm fine! This nice person saved me from the dark helmet thing! I couldn't see, and then I started bumping into things, and I...kinda made a mess...*" Oops.

To Adventure! (Closed RP)

“Yes, I have seen many new things on my journey through the cosmos…” There was a small pause before she continued, her Star Wand waving back and forth slightly in thought.

“Perhaps we can share some stories, if you do not mind?”

“*Ooooo, tell him about the ice world, Mama!*” Starla suggested. “*Or the time we almost crashed into a comet but you used magic to move it out of the way? Or, or, or…*”

“Now, now, dear. One at a time.”

“*Yes, Mama!*”

The Captain giggled at Starla’s excitement. He too was rather excited to converse with Rosalina once again.

“I would love to share stories!” he exclaimed. “You and Starla seem to have a lot you want to share, so you can go first!”

“Well...”

Rosalina tapped her Star Wand on her hand in thought. “There was a time where my Lumas and I visited a world full of robotic beings. They were rather startled when the Lumas floated down to the planet first. I believe they thought they were being invaded...”

“*Ooooh yeeaaaah, I remember that!*” Starla said. “*But after a while, they were really nice! When Mama explained everything, of course.*”

“It's a bit...difficult to stop a cluster of Lumas once they get curious enough, I admit...” A fond chuckle. “But that is part of their charm.” And she made a new friend there to boot. “I am able to meet many new beings and places because of them. For that, I'm grateful.”

“*Smash Run, Smash Run, gonna go to Smaaaaash Ruuuuun!~*”

Starla had made up a sort of pep song as the pair made their way to the Arena, excited that they would finally get to show their stuff after such a long absence. “*Smash Run, Smash Run, we’re gonna go to Smash Ruuuuun!~ Wooo!~*”

Rosalina was also very excited, even if her tone didn’t quite express that very much. “You make a very good cheerleader, Starla.” And how. They had both never tried Smash Run until now, but there was a first time for everything, right?

“*Thanks, Mama! Hey, do you think anyone else is gonna be in Smash Run too, Mama?*” The Luma inquired. “*I hope it isn’t someone too tough…!*”

“I am sure we will be just fine, dear.”

“Rosalina!” Daisy yelled, running after the elegant space lady and her star companion.

“I came to wish you good luck! I saw you headed towards the arena, and I decided that I had to come and cheer you on!”

She had run up to Rosalina and Starla, and stopped just in front of them, giving a silly bow to the duo. 

“…Besides, I’ve never actually seen you fight, and I’d love to see what kind of destruction you can cause!” she added, eyes practically lighting up with excitement.

Super-Star Training (Closed RP with cosmicmother)

Even though he couldn’t participate in any of the fights, at the very least Proto Man could practice. Luckily, he was able to find the training room. There were a few other people in there, but he was able to find a secluded sandbag to practice his aim on.

To Adventure! (Closed RP)

“*OK! That’s all of our luggage in Room C4!~*”

Once Rosalina let the last of her bags float down gently into the bed, she nodded. “We still have to unpack, but we can do that tomorrow, when we’re fully rested. There’s still some time before the sun sets…”

“*Ooo, we should go explore the island! There’s a ton of cool stuff here! Like…like a beach!*” Starla happily twirled right into Rosalina’s arms, snugging herself into her. “*We can watch the sunset there! And collect seashells!*”

“That sounds wonderful, Starla.” A nice, relaxing walk on the beach. A good activity to unwind, and also view the beauty of this particular world. “We should set off at once if we want to catch the sunset!”

“*Yeah! Let’s go! Let’s go now, Mama!*”

Captain Toad wanted to explore the beach. He was feeling lucky, so he thought maybe he could find an oyster with a pearl in it on the shore. That was a long shot, but he wanted to try anyway.

As he trotted down to the beach, he saw a familiar figure..well, figures. He immediately recognized the elegant floating woman, as well as the cute little star child.

“M-Miss Rosalina! It’s so wonderful to see you again! It’s me, Captain Toad, leader of the Toad Brigade!”

“*Look, look, Mama! It’s Captain Toad!*”

As soon as they had stepped forth on the soft sands of the beach, Starla had already spotted a familiar figure. She was already floating on ahead in excitement, Rosalina following close behind. “*Hi, hi, hi! It’s me, Starla! Didja miss us?*”

“Captain Toad.” There was a small smile for the mushroom being, pleased that he had also moved to the island as well. “It is good to see you again. How have you faired?” Well, she hoped. “I apologize for not being around as often as I would like, but I hope that now I can spend some more time here in the tournament.”

Polari should be able to take care of things from the Observatory, at least. She didn’t want to put such a burden on the oldest Luma, but…well, he insisted.

“Don’t apologize, Miss Rosalina!” The Captain chimed. “You hold a great responsibility! Don’t feel sorry for upholding it!” He smiled sheepishly as he continued.

“hehe…Uhm, anyway…It-it’s nice to see you again, and same goes for you, Starla! I’ve been on lots of adventures since we last met….have you?”

An Artist and A Star (Closed RP)

“*Ooooooo, pretty!*”

While her mother went off to re-register their rooms, Starla was allowed to play in the World Garden on her own. Mama said to not leave the garden until she came back, so the little star child was busy entertaining herself by looking at all the various flora from different worlds. Everything looked so cool!

“*Mmm, can I pick some of these for Mama…?*” She wondered to herself, rocking this way and that in the air. If she did, then she would kinda be ruining the garden too, huh…?

After getting her luggage settled into her room (which wasn’t much, just some art supplies) Adeleine decided to take a stroll to the World Garden. From what she had heard, it would be the perfect place to find inspiration.

The garden did not disappoint. So many different colors, shapes, sizes of plants! It was like an out of this world experience… No, she reminded herself, it was out of this world– or at least out of hers! Like nothing she had ever seen before! Wandering around the garden, eyes wide in wonder, she heard a small voice.

A few moments of searching later, she found the source– a small, star shaped… blob.

Adeleine spoke up, “I wouldn’t if I was you… That hurts the plants and stuff. Besides, it could be dangerous to touch, you never know.”

The small star child twirled around to face the girl, tilting her head at her in slight curiosity. Ooo, another human! Not someone she recognized, for sure. “*Yeeeaaah, I was starting to think the same thing, miss!*” Starla politely responded, casting her gaze back at the flowers. *”I guess I hafta look for flowers somewhere else…*” And pretty ones too! Nothing less for Mama!

Pointing to the red, yellow and orange flora with her tiny nub of an arm, she continued. ”*Mama says they can grant fire powers! But only until you get bonked. Then they go away.*“

Adeleine walked over to the flower to get a closer look at it. “Fire powers?” She raised an eyebrow. “I’ve heard of flowers attacking people before, but never granting fire powers. Sounds pretty dangerous… Wonder how it does that.” She said, thinking aloud more than anything.

“*I’ve heard of those kinds of flowers before!*” Yup, yup, she sure did. “*We have these big mean red flowers called Piranha Plants. They snap at you when you get too close, and they shoot fireballs out of their mouths!*” Starla had a bad run in with one when she was smaller, but luckily Mama was there to save her!

“*I dunno if there are some in this garden. I hope not…*” Piranha Plants were really scary when they got angry! “*The only way to beat them is to bonk them on the head really hard. Then they go back into the ground.*” Or just go poof. Lots of things go poof when they get bonked on the head, now that she thought about it.

Meanwhile, Rosalina had finished her registration and was now on her way back to the World Garden to pick up Starla. She hoped she wasn’t too bored there…

“Yeah, on Pop Star we’ve got something similar– they’re called Lovelies, ironically enough… They’ve got pretty friendly faces if you’re far enough away, but get close enough and they try to eat you whole! I hope there aren’t any of those in here, either– or Piranha Plants.” Then again, it was more than likely, considering what Starla had said before about the place having plants from all kinds of worlds.

“…And if either of them are here, well, I hope we don’t come across them.”

“*…They don’t sound very lovely to me…*” Starla was pretty small herself, so it would be easy for one of those things to just gobble her up–wait, did she just say Pop Star?

“Starla?”

The Luma turned herself towards the familiar voice, then looped around in the air in joy. “*Oh! Look! Mama’s here! Mama’s here!*” With that, she floated to Rosalina’s side, spinning around her person before settling down near her head. 

“Ah, hello there. I see you’re already making new firends, dear.”

“*Yup! This is Adeleine! Adeleine, this is my Mama!*”

Adeleine turned around the same time Starla did and saw… Someone very, very tall. She hadn’t seen someone this tall since… Ever! Her eyes were wide in awe. Wow… she thought to herself, her voice is pretty nice, too. Is she a goddess or something?

“Uh, hi!” she said, trying to keep a casual face, “I got onto the island not too long ago. How about you?”

“Hello, Adeleine.” The celestial caretaker greeted the small artist with a smile. “I am Rosalina. Starla and I arrived here just a while ago as well. We happen to be newcomers to the tournament.”

“*Uh huh! We came here from space!*” Starla chimed happily. “*We live on the Cosmic Observatory, and it's a spaceship too!*” Of course, it was also being used as a battlefield for the tournament, so certain adjustments had to be made.

“I see that you’ve already aquatinted with my daughter.” A chuckle. “Thank you for watching her. I had to go claim our room number in the condos for a moment.”

Rosalina turned from the clothing rack to the sound of the voice behind her, finding the Umbra Witch striding towards them. Her gaze immediately flicks to the gun her hand, and for a moment she almost moved for her Star Wand…

But she had to remember that this was a fighting tournament, and perhaps this was a combatant that used firearms. Mega Man had such weapons integrated into his body, and she was sure there was others that had so too. Never breaking her outward expression, Rosalina nodded.

“She does love to put on dresses…”

“*Uh-huh!*” The little star child nodded, looking over the pretty lady with the really cool looking toy in her hand! “*I love dressing up! It makes me feel pretty and cute!*” There was a small giggle as she twirled in the air in excitement.“*Oh, and my name is Starla, miss! And this is my Mama!*”

“Yes, I am Rosalina. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”

Bayonetta chuckled slightly at the little star. Judging by the elegant radiance of the woman before her, as well as the cheeky little star, Bayonetta was quick to figure out who this ‘Rosalina’ was.

“Well well…Rosalina and Starla, is it? Perhaps you’re the lady I’ve heard fights using the power of the stars? I didn’t believe it’d be quite so literal…”

She chuckled again once more, smirking.

“It’s always a pleasure to meet another strong, lovely lady. As for myself…you may call me “Bayonetta” or “Cereza,” but nothing else.” She finished, winking up at Starla.

“*Yup! That's Mama!*” Starla giggled. Gosh, she sure was nice!

Rosalina nodded in kind, putting a hanger back on its proper rack before speaking again. “Yes, that would be me. I hold domain over the cosmos. I would assume that you are a combatant in the tournament as well, Miss Cereza?”

Bayonetta...certainly not a name she's heard of before. What sort of world did she hail from, she wondered?

“In a way, yes, my duty is quite literal. I am the Caretaker of all Lumas, such as Starla here.” Her Star Wand points to the star child, and the yellow Luma does a small hop in unsion. “It is my job to ensure their safety until they ascend.”

“*Ooooooo, pretty!*”

While her mother went off to re-register their rooms, Starla was allowed to play in the World Garden on her own. Mama said to not leave the garden until she came back, so the little star child was busy entertaining herself by looking at all the various flora from different worlds. Everything looked so cool!

“*Mmm, can I pick some of these for Mama…?*” She wondered to herself, rocking this way and that in the air. If she did, then she would kinda be ruining the garden too, huh…?

After getting her luggage settled into her room (which wasn’t much, just some art supplies) Adeleine decided to take a stroll to the World Garden. From what she had heard, it would be the perfect place to find inspiration.

The garden did not disappoint. So many different colors, shapes, sizes of plants! It was like an out of this world experience… No, she reminded herself, it was out of this world– or at least out of hers! Like nothing she had ever seen before! Wandering around the garden, eyes wide in wonder, she heard a small voice.

A few moments of searching later, she found the source– a small, star shaped… blob.

Adeleine spoke up, “I wouldn’t if I was you… That hurts the plants and stuff. Besides, it could be dangerous to touch, you never know.”

The small star child twirled around to face the girl, tilting her head at her in slight curiosity. Ooo, another human! Not someone she recognized, for sure. “*Yeeeaaah, I was starting to think the same thing, miss!*” Starla politely responded, casting her gaze back at the flowers. *”I guess I hafta look for flowers somewhere else…*” And pretty ones too! Nothing less for Mama!

A cafe! What a lovely little quaint place. Perfect for curling up with a book and enjoy some hot Mushroom Tea after a long day. The book Rosalina was reading was about the various parts of the surrounding galaxies in this sector. In short, an astronomy atlas of sorts from her personal library.

Sleeping peacefully on her lap was Starla, all tuckered out from today’s activities. Snuggling happily into the crook of Rosalina’s arm, she smiled and cooed cutely as she drifted off into a good dream.

The star mother was so focused on her book that she didn’t notice her immediate surroundings…

He didn’t know what he was expecting out of the other-wordly cafe – probably not a lot. He only knew about other worlds a few weeks ago! But, at the very least, he wasn’t expecting it to top Shinra HQ’s cafeteria by a landslide. They sure knew how to treat their guests here…

With a tiny pastry in one hand and a cup of coffee – typical SOLDIER boy drink, right? – in the other, he walked around the cafe and quite like the luma mother, didn’t notice that someone else had claimed the table and sat down in the other chair, about to take a bite out of the tiny pastry when mako eyes locked onto blonde hair and a book on astronomy just across the table. 

Ah. Oops. 

He quietly chuckled to himself in his embarrassment, since it was probably because he was looking at the other cafe goers that grabbed his attention more than the star-studying woman did… but hey. They were here, he was new… he may as well make some conversation! 

With his (decaf) coffee placed on the table, Zack used the now free and gloved hand to clear his throat before trying to break the ice. It was kind of awkward, he was probably talking to someone from a completely different world… maybe even across the galaxies she was looking at right now! And here he was, sitting at the same table as her all because he wasn’t paying too much attention. But it didn’t matter so long as she didn’t mind. 

“This seat wasn’t taken, was it? Sorry, I… kind of sat here by accident.” 

It was a start, as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. There was only a second of a pause before he started speaking again.

“… Y’know, I wonder…” He said, his usual grin appearing on his face as his small feeling of embarrassment drifted away. 

“There wouldn’t be a planet named Gaia listed in that book, would there?”

The sound of the other chair being pulled backwards caused the celestial mother to gaze upwards from her book, pretty teal hues that seemed to swirl like galaxies looking over the young, dark haired male. There was a small chuckle at his embarrassment, silently putting the reading material down on the table.

"No, it's fine. You can sit there."

At his quarry, she didn't even have to look into the book again to provide an answer. "I'm afraid that there are many planets with that same name." Gaia had a certain charm to it, she figured. "But, I would assume that is where you are from...?" To be honest, she was more knowledgeable in the vastness of galaxies than individual planets, so remembering exactly where one particular one was took some thought.

"Perhaps if you can share some more details, I might be able to locate it for you in this book." She said, tapping her finger on the hard cover. "This covers all basic areas of the known cosmos. It is a bit out of date, but I am sure I can find it."

“*OK! That’s all of our luggage in Room C4!~*”

Once Rosalina let the last of her bags float down gently into the bed, she nodded. “We still have to unpack, but we can do that tomorrow, when we’re fully rested. There’s still some time before the sun sets…”

“*Ooo, we should go explore the island! There’s a ton of cool stuff here! Like…like a beach!*” Starla happily twirled right into Rosalina’s arms, snugging herself into her. “*We can watch the sunset there! And collect seashells!*”

“That sounds wonderful, Starla.” A nice, relaxing walk on the beach. A good activity to unwind, and also view the beauty of this particular world. “We should set off at once if we want to catch the sunset!”

“*Yeah! Let’s go! Let’s go now, Mama!*”

Captain Toad wanted to explore the beach. He was feeling lucky, so he thought maybe he could find an oyster with a pearl in it on the shore. That was a long shot, but he wanted to try anyway.

As he trotted down to the beach, he saw a familiar figure..well, figures. He immediately recognized the elegant floating woman, as well as the cute little star child.

“M-Miss Rosalina! It’s so wonderful to see you again! It’s me, Captain Toad, leader of the Toad Brigade!”

"*Look, look, Mama! It's Captain Toad!*"

As soon as they had stepped forth on the soft sands of the beach, Starla had already spotted a familiar figure. She was already floating on ahead in excitement, Rosalina following close behind. "*Hi, hi, hi! It's me, Starla! Didja miss us?*"

"Captain Toad." There was a small smile for the mushroom being, pleased that he had also moved to the island as well. "It is good to see you again. How have you faired?" Well, she hoped. "I apologize for not being around as often as I would like, but I hope that now I can spend some more time here in the tournament."

Polari should be able to take care of things from the Observatory, at least. She didn't want to put such a burden on the oldest Luma, but...well, he insisted.

“How about this one, dear?”

The mall had lots of clothing shops for all ages and individuals, which was a relief for Rosalina. It’s not like Lumas needed clothes, but some of them really DID like to dress up for fun, or just to feel pretty. Starla was one such Luma.

“*Mmmm, too much pink, Mama!*” The star child shook her whole body to convey this. “*Something more…uh…blue?*” Like Mama! “*And with sparkles, it’s GOTTA have sparkles!*”

“All right, we’ll see what we can find.” The star mother said with a smile. “Perhaps you’d like a bow to go with it?”

“*Yeah, yeah! Oh, but that one has to have sparkles too. Or pretty soft stuff.*”
