What are your thoughts on Ash's classmates? Do you find them interesting or boring?

I think they're a bit naff if I'm honest. I like their designs and the funny face game is on point, but that's it. Otherwise they're pretty dull. I DO genuinely like Kiawe a lot though, I think he's the only one that's actually funny and feels more than one dimensional. Plus his 'mons are the only good ones in the class. I mean yes, I'm sure waifu weirdos will disagree because 'L-Lillie', bit Jessie is forever best girl so moot point bruv.That said, I won't lie, the recent 2 special episodes and rewatching some OS made me want Brock and Misty back. Oops.

What's your opinion on SM's art style? Since you're an animation person i would assume you would be, "head over heels" on the subject. I think the actual animation is the best pokemon has been in terms of movement, although I prefer the classic anime designs from XY. Imagine if we had this kinda of animation 10-15 years ago back in the AG and DP days? All those shitty animated episodes we got back then could have looked great, like Groudon/Kyorge part 2 or the first Battle Pyramid finale ep.

I like the new art style for the most part, it looks nice 90% of the time. I’ll admit it was jarring at first, which is to say ‘Ash and Team Rocket look fucking weird and everyone else is fine’, but I’m used to it now. I know people bitch about the over-reliance on wacky expressions, and I agree that sometimes they do feel like they’re just putting them in there for the sake of it, but in most cases I appreciate them.

Jessie and James look kind of haggard and tired with their more prominent eyelids though, like all the years of twerp bullshit have caught up with them.

-AN UPDATE FROM LAST TIME- I FINISHED COLORING HER!

And I’ve patched up some lines that were bothering me during the coloring process, namely any lines that were too light.

…Oh, and the amount of stripes on her pants too; they shifted after the first eight frames originally. This resulted in me retouching the lines and rescanning the pages before I could go any further.

It’s amazing, cuz like, this only happened because, from what I’ve seen of the anime so far, she didn’t have any moments of her jumping or dancing for me to mask. Figured I’d just have to draw her doing it, but I’m surprised I got it done this soon, despite not having any prior experience to traditional hand drawn animation outside of flipbooks in middle school.

Guess all that time of making flashpoops amounted to more than what I ever anticipated!

Man, how time flies. Its now been 14 years since the end of the OS and the beginning of AG of the Pokemon anime. Sometimes it seems like only yesterday we saw this new girl, "Haruka" appearing in the anime and we heard the news of Misty leaving. Its hard to believe there was once a time May was considered the, "new pokemon girl" and here we are 5+ pokemon girls and 14 years later. May is now one of the oldest and most nostalgic characters of the show. We're all so old now its ridiculous, Gravy

And soon we will be dead.
