Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein on Netflix now !!! Some notes on how I personally feel you should view this film:

DO NOT watch this during the daytime. Nighttime is far far better. Or at the very least try and make the room as dark as possible like you’re in a theater. (All movies are better this way tbh)

I’m begging you to watch this on an actual television and not your phones holy fuck please don’t watch this on your phones (bigger tv the better imo)

Volume up !!! Lots of soft spoken dialogue! (Subtitles too if you’ve got auditory processing ish like me)

For the love of fuck learn to let go of any preconceived opinions you may have. If you are a “book purist” you will be unhappy. Let go of that and please enjoy the beauty of this film. It takes creative liberties but certainly keeps the heart of the original source and respects it completely. (And does far better than any other adaptation imo)

I fully agree with this last point! Normally I am a book purist and don't get me wrong I adore the book, but that being said, this adaptation was amazing! It kept the main themes in a beautiful heartbreaking way.
