One thing I’m appreciating reading through the Dungeon Crawler Carl series is Dinniman’s ability to introduce like six Chekov’s Guns and look you directly in the eye and go “that’s going to go off later by the way, but don’t worry about it for now :)” in a way that both maintains an interesting and cohesive plot and doesn’t feel overwhelming
