Update we made a new blog lolol
Oop itâs been a hot minute since we posted here
Anyways we just wanna say this on systems and shiz
We donât care what origin some1s system is at this point. We juzt dont fuckin care.
And yknow wut? On toppa that. We p much support all types of systems. Cuz we have no goddamn authority on that type of shit.
Systems of all damn origins serve a purpose. And most of the time that purpose is to protect in 1 way or another. Even if aint the systems purpose theyâre still valid as hell
And we get it. Some non-traumagenic systems are shitty. But guess what. So are some traumagenic systems. Hell weâve encountered some pretty damn nasty people from both sides. Cuz theyre ppl. Wild ik lol
Tl;dr non-trauma systems are cool and were gonna be working on bein more inclusive and supportive of all the dif types of systems out there cuz were hella ashamed of how we thought back then (genuine)
Omgggggg switchin in durin therapy was such a mistake đđ I dont fuckin know whats happenin!!! I feel like i just woke up in the middle of jeopardy!!!
Me: Geez why is sleeping such a big fronting trigger for some of y'all? I mean, Sebastian, Mary, Lucas, Marcus, KP, and more??
Marianne: Well, you sometimes tend to spiral into immense bouts of anxiety and existential dread when on the cusp of sleep, and so some of us want to help pull you back from that.
Lucas: also you have adhd lmao
Me: .....I mean....yeah
Hm. Much to think about this morning.

Hi, hello, âtis me. I just felt like I should tell you that, first of all, I was thinking about all of you yesterday and I miss you. But second, I think that thinking about you yesterday led to me having a weird as fuck dream last night. I dreamed that I sent you an ask (not unlike this one) and I said something like âhey I miss you guys especially Lurmorâ and like. In the dream you answered the ask and said âpfft donât miss Lurmor, heâs a massive aphobe bitchâ and I was. Very confused personally đ
Anyways, you didnât necessarily need to know this, but you get to now. The point is that I miss you guys and I hope youâre not being aphobes because that would get awkward lmfao. Love u!
Grace this is absolutely wonderful to see and also that dream is especially hilarious because Morry is easily one of our most Asexual alters ever right next to Marianne the aroace queen lmaooo
but d'y'awwww we miss you too dude and, just remember, you're always welcome to come and talk to us no matter what, yeah? /gen /p
(Fictive) alters/headmates mixing up how they look so we can move away from our sources call that a system update lmfaoooo
People do realize itâs okay to be a dissociative System, right? That itâs okay to be dissociative and to have trauma that other alters hold behind amnesiac barriers? It isnât some dirty thing, or something to be ashamed of. It doesnât make you a freak, or a monster, or a danger to/for others. Itâs okay to have DID, and even OSDD, because your brain is protecting itself - and you. DID is a dissociative disorder, and itâs that dissociative amnesia between you and your alters that keeps everyone âsafeâ (to an extent).
DID means âDissociative Identity Disorderâ, and I feel like thatâs something that has been forgotten to some people. Dissociation is first, and the identities that come of it are second. You dissociate to forget, to have someone else come front and take the brunt of whatever stress or trauma that is happening. It is a defense mechanism for the mind, specifically to deal with trauma. Dissociation happens to cope with trauma.
Weâll speak more on this in another post, but for now, hereâs this reminder:
Itâs okay to be a dissociative - a.k.a âtraumagenicâ - System. You are not a horrible person for this. You are a survivor. You are not a danger to others because of your disorder. Itâs okay to be a dissociative System. Itâs okay to have DID/OSDD.
Whew boy this keeps getting notes. Because it does, it keeps reminding us of when we were much more close-minded on system related stuff.
For the most part, we do still agree with what we wrote here. It is okay to be a dissociative system, and to have OSDD/DID. We also do still stand with what it means to have/be DID. But we definitely no longer agree with any and all underlying gatekeeping tones to this post. As we see it now, this post will only stay up as a positive, albeit snappy-ish reminder to fellow dissociative Systems that it is okay to have what they have. We donât want this to be used to invalidate endos, or willogenics, or any other non-dissociative system. We no longer stand with or for that, and I/we are sorry that this post may or was used in such a way.

I think nothing really explains our feelings on syscourse more than
âDID, OSDD, and UDD are trauma-response mental disorders that create various types of amnesia to traumatic memories. Sometimes, for the brain, body, and overall person to cope and survive, the mind disrupts its integration into a whole person so that it remains fragmented and splintered; as does the memory of the trauma. This is how alters in DID/OSDD/UDD Systems are formed. However, not everyone with a dissociative disorder will become a System; it is not guaranteed.
In a way, not everyone who experiences plurality is dissociative; though they may be and just not realize it. Some people may be plural by wanting to confront parts of themself, wanting to have a feeling of someone watching over them, or even a way to cope with their own stresses and troubles. If it helps for someone to get through their everyday life, and they are not being ableist towards or demonizing DID/OSDD/UDD Systems, then we have no authority over them. If it helps someone, and doesnât actively directly hurt someone or something, then oh well. Itâs their lane, and this is our own. We can set our own boundaries, and it should be mutual that those boundaries be respected across the board.â
Sooo basically
As always, donât be a crass finch, and as long as no one is actively and/or directly hurting your or someone else, if what they are doing is just a drop of water in the ocean, then whatever. If it helps them, cool, awesome, mental health is a difficult thing and not everyone has good support systems (no pun intended), so sometimes people may feel like they have to create their own in some left-field way
Itâs really none of our business at the end of the day.
The mental illness(es) of those who hurt you does not lessen their actions. It does not excuse them. If someone hurts you, they hurt you, and they need to own up to it.
They need to apologize. And if they cannot make an apology that paints themself as a pitiful person, then they cannot genuinely apologize.
You do not have to accept any apology that does not feel genuine nor satisfactory to you. You are not required to do so. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong, backwards, and selfish.
Introject/Fictive culture is seeing people thirst over your source-self and being torn on whether you should be uncomfortable or appreciate it
hii I was wondering what exactly counts as amnesia.. what is the difference between the amnesia seen in DID and the âlittle to noâ amnesia in OSDD-1b.. also⊠what exactly counts as ânot fully defined altersâ in OSDD-1a .. and can OSDD-1a have fictives? im rlly unsure which I have at this point bc I donât know if what is happening counts as amnesia âŠ.I can remember things I guess but sometimes it takes me a bit to recall them and I donât have emotions attached to some memories?⊠like as an example I remember some trauma but feel NOTHING towards it .. or Iâll remember some daily memories and it feels like they didnât even happen. The days before the current present feels like a dark void that never existed ..
Hey there!
So, we are going to put a big disclaimed that although we have read up on DID and OSDD, and looked at and listened to the experiences of other, fellow dissociative Systems, our words are definitely not gospel! I'm going to say that this will be a post for open and civil discussion, especially for extra information!
Now, onto the bigger answers; amnesia by your typical dictionary definition is having the partial or total lack of memory. However, for Systems, it can be a little trickier than that! From what we understand, DID Systems are those who do experience at least some or quite a bit of memory-based amnesia between alters. If Alter C is fronting for a whole day, and then Alter F fronts the next day, chances are that Alter C will be the only to remember what exactly happened the previous day prior. Emotions, tasks, appointments, conversations, etc. However, I think it would be a little untrue to say all, or even most, DID Systems experience full black-outs between alters. I've seen the term "gray-out" be used, to mostly describe how, yes, there are amnesiac barriers between alters, but it isn't that severe.
For us, as an OSDD-1b System, our "little to no amnesia" comes in the form of this: In the morning, Dimuza is fronting. They have breakfast, watch their cryptid shows and paranormal documentaries, and go about the morning. In the mid-afternoon, a switch occurs where Annabelle is now fronting. She may be able to recall "Oh yeah, Dimuza had fruit loops for breakfast, and binged a whole season of Destination Truth", but she wouldn't feel an emotional connection to it because the emotions of those memories are now carried by Dimuza!
We do experience a little memory-based amnesia, as well. Once we lost connection to someone we thought of as a friend, and quite a few of us didn't even really know until it was communicated in some way. We like to call this the "You Just Had To Be There" affect!
Because of our little to no amnesia, we also have a much easier time to communicate with one another, wherein a System with much stronger amnesia (and as such, amnesiac barriers), communication between alters is more often held in the outer world rather than the inner world.
From what we've read and understand of OSDD-1a, this is a System far more related to the Different, Distinct Emotions of the Host. I once saw someone describe it and the alters as "the different flavors of You". Basically, you may have Rupert, who holds most, if not all of the sadness of the body. Then, you have Marty, who holds most, if not all the anger. Because the alters of OSDD-1a Systems tend to be far more emotionally-based than other dissociative Systems, this is most likely why they would be labeled as "not fully defined alters"!
My knowledge on OSDD-1a is very limited, but we do definitely believe that it is possible for OSDD-1a Systems to have fictives, to an extent!
To wrap it up, in regards to your description of how your memories work and feel;
I/we heavily relate to what you have just describes. It perfectly encapsulates what we go through, especially with our own recent situations and traumatic incidents. Looking back on something and knowing, logically, that what happened is and would be considered trauma, yet feeling little to nothing towards it, is exactly how we experience our emotional amnesia. Sometimes, that emotional detachment is so strong, that it doesn't even feel like it happened.
When this happens in therapy, we describe it as "I feel like I'm talking about someone else's memories/life story, like this isn't even mine and that I shouldn't be talking about it". Our brains create these amnesiac barriers to protect the Host; to make sure they don't continue to fully struggle and deal with the brunt of trauma that was dealt with. It makes us have these detachments to protect us, and it makes our alters so that someone holds onto it.
This was very long, but I feel like it was the best way for us to answer this. Hopefully this isn't too lengthy of a response, but also that it is one that can be helpful to you. We're giving you the best wishes, anon, in figuring things out <3 /gen /p
plural aro culture is thinking two of your headmates are just friends ...until they arent and suddenly reminding yourself alloro people exist

y'all don't get to call every wlw couple a lesbian couple and then be pissed when mspec women start calling themselves lesbians. you called us lesbians first.
