Personalizing gifts is such a joy to me. These are spikers for that are placed in the ground to hold drinks. I monogrammed them for a teacher's gift.

This accomplishment is so exciting! When I see the woman that encouraged me to dust off my sewing machine and try to sew my daughter's clothes I will thank her. It's such a joy to achieve skills that I had not considered trying before aaaand saving money in the process. I've purchased ruffled jeans every year for my daughters because they match most of their tops and have a boutique look. This year I set out to learn how to sew them. This pair is very flawed, but with my friends at @spoonflower they came into existence. #happy
Will the decorations be the same as last year or will I do something new? My mind is already on Christmas! In celebrating such a precious gift given to mankind as a savior, how could I not be excited?
Memory Box File Cards My son said that he wants to be a memory master this year. In our classical curriculum this means that the child was tested by his parents and class leader on 100 % of the information taught for all subjects this year and the child has it memorized completely. Since he is second grade and I wasn't considering trying this until his fourth grade year at the youngest, I told him that he was welcome to work on it on his own. This is an incredible amount of work would rather be involved when he's older, bit he is welcome to try. When I saw this on Pinterest, I knew this would be a great help for him to work independently with notecards. The new information is reviewed daily. When he can recite a note card for at least 2 days in a row, he can move it to the odd/even day of the week file for by weekly recitation. When he can recite 2 days in a row, he can move the card to the once a month file. I look forward to seeing how he does.

Love what you see and don't stop designing until then;)
When ideas come, I get so excited that I can stay up all night on adrenaline as I create. That’s what happened when I saw these bags and boxes for less than a dollar and had the idea to make a Tiffany’s logo with my vinyl cutter. The paper starbursts became an inspiration when I saw one made in fresh colors a few days before. I’m so thankful for the Lord putting so many ideas in my head and such enjoyment of creating them. This was one fun play on colors. I will post the DIY link for the paper starbursts to this soon. The Tiffanys logo was made in vinyl with a craft cutter.
18 years old and homeless, Griffin Furlong graduated from high school as valedictorian today… His #AmericaStrong story here: http://abcn.ws/1kmlIok
Great message!
We've named him Mr. E:) The pattern was a free beginner pattern from the Lion Brand yarn website. After completing this project, I'm ready for the next level of amigurumi projects.
Vegan Pepper Jack Spiced Pasta- Too Easy! I tried a vegan Alfredo recipe that I thought could use more flavor, so I added some Daiya Pepper Jack shredded cheese and I was in the delicious zone. This recipe should be designed for your preferences with boiled pasta and vegan sour cream as your base.
Ingredients: boiled pasta(shape of your choice), *vegan sour cream, *Daiya vegan shredded pepper Jack cheese, spices and herbs of your choice Instructions: spoon and fold sour cream into boiled pasta. Season and add herbs to your preference. Add Pepper Jack cheese to make it Pepper Jack cheese flavored. Remember, Pepper Jack is spicy and may be too much for children. Who knows, the flavoring possibilities are endless. My additions were chopped broccoli, peas, chopped red peppers and salt to taste. *purchased at Whole Foods grocery store As a beginner, I made a full box for myself and a spoon from it when I want it. I learned from a vegan friend that I should keep something readily available in the refrigerator to be prepared for tough moments. Enjoy!
Crocheting again After viewing a quick tutorial on this scarf from YouTube's iheartstitching I thought this infinity scarf was within my skill level and gave it a try. After 3 start-overs, I finally finished this for my mother. Crocheting was the first craft that I remember around 5 years old. My aunt Denise taught me to do granny squares. I wasn't aware of crochet terminology then, but since making this scarf after a nearly 8 year break from the craft, I am learning stitches and patterns. My love for crocheting has returned with a love for expanding skill level and knowledge as well. Due to spring fever, I've lost interest in the winter infinity scarves and I'm learning Amigurumi and a few large mesh stitches for spring/summer infinity scarves. I can't wait to post the finished pieces!
Vegan Vanilla Cupcakes & Icing. These turned out great on the first try. Baking cupcakes area joy for me and now that I'm eating mostly vegan, I'm happy to add this recipe to my menu. Thanks to The Sweetest Vegan on YouTube for the cupcake recipe. It was delicious!
10 posts!
In my menu makeover of eating mostly vegan meals, oatmeal was a first. My vegan version of Starbucks oatmeal: 1/3c rolled oats, 1/2c unsweetened almond milk, microwave 1 min, add pure maple syrup for sweetener, dried cranberries and sliced almonds Enjoy!
Vegan firsts-I taught my children about the use of a brown-over ripened banana and found a vegan banana pecan recipe this time. I couldn't resist making a vegan streusel topping since I've had a taste for my friend's vegan peach streusel cake. Learning vegan desserts will be fun.
Cake Pops part 2- A Happy Ending! My first cakepop maker was returned twice because the cakepops never rose to full circles like the picture on the box. I decided to try another brand, Babycakes. I purchased a clearanced Cakepop maker that had visible signs of wear. I was using my earned points in the store so I didn't have to pay anything for it, therefore I took the chance. The residual cake batter from the previous brand that I tried worked perfectly! The Babycakes brand made round cakepops-just like the picture. Let the cakepops begin. I can see it now-traditional, vegan, pancake batter, chocolate chip- you name it.
