a king has received the standard prophecy that his youngest daughter will be the one to kill him but instead of reacting as "get this baby out of my sight and abandon it somewhere in the woods for it to die" he accepts his fate and dinner time is made very awkward.

This is essentially petty non-revenge against both his daughter and the court wizard who produced the prophecy, both of whom he holds blameless (and has passed declarations informing the kingdom of such in the event of his death) but still enjoys trolling about the whole thing. He does kinda take it too far and make people uncomfortable sometimes, though.

Eventually he passes peacefully in his sleep at a ripe old age, a single day earlier than he otherwise would have because his daughter (now a middle-aged woman successfully managing a nation of her own after decades of political manoeuvring) finally found time in her busy life to pay him a visit and he overexerted himself slightly in his joy. He is mourned by all, though described semi-affectionately at his state funeral as "really fucking annoying".
