Carlos looked up from his homework as he heard his mothers words. Quickly, not wanting the demand to become yelling again he set his things aside, jumping up to his feet as he dashed to get her sewing machine. The little genius quickly found it and took it back to her. He made sure to keep quiet as he did, his movements barely audible. He set the sewing machine beside her, taking a small step back once he was done.

Cruella smiled at her son, looking far too similar to the spider her dear Anita’s husband had described her as in that wretched song of his. A gloved hand reached out and ruffled his hair for a moment. It was as much of a thank you as he would get from her a he was expected to obey her demands. She had brought him into the world and taken care of him for most of his life after all.

He was the only thing she cared for outside of her furs. Still she wasn’t the sort of person who could be maternal and the defeat at the hands of mongrels multiple times and being made into a cake hadn’t improved her mental state.

Cruella had lived in a very different social climate than the Isle for most of her life. The fashion industry on the Isle was fairly small and relaxed, in London it was huge and cutthroat especially concerning people like her. So naturally she didn’t much like the Isle’s other fashion designers. Though, much like her relationship with Anita, she was good at faking it. “Dizzy darling, are you here for a coat? I just got some fur from my supplier.” McLeach was a wretched man but he was reliable at least, he could kill anything on the isle.

When she was handed a dress and fur coat, her attention went straight to coat. “Uh…you’re kidding me right? Fur? You’re giving me fur. I should just burn this.” She spat, “how dare you.”

She shook her head, honestly she did not understand this generation. It was probably because they grew up on the Isle. “Mal stop being a child, every woman wants a fur coat.” She was giving the girl a gift, after all she could have just kept the fur for herself even if it wasn’t enough to make a coat that fit her standards. “It is a good coat.”
