Another good romcom I’ve watched recently. It started out slow, but the chemistry between Leah (Bailee) and Mason (Joel) in the movie is so freaking adorable. The way things don’t quite go as planned right from the start is just so well done, and I love their banter so much. 😂👏🏼 And that final little scene was so sweet. 🥰 7/10

I’ve been waiting for this one since Bailee teased it on her Instagram roughly a year ago. And I wasn’t disappointed. Just wish we could have had the characters fleshed out just a little more all around. But this was a fun time overall. 🙃

The two biggest remaining questions for me personally. I wanna know if Claire really exists! Or does the Nick & Alice relationship somehow get worked out with the time travels help in a way. I also would have liked to know where Griffin was at the end too, but that one isn’t as pressing of a question that I have. I would have loved to see some more scenes with young Colton and Griffin though if we’d gotten more seasons. Especially since I want to know who Griffin’s biological father was after the Colton father reveal in the finale. We know they would technically be half brothers.

My favorite "like grandfather like grandaughter" thing about Colton and Alice is how both of them, in a fit of teenage pique, rashly threw something they valued into the pond, immediately regretted it, bent down to try and retrieve it, lost their balance and fell face-first into the water, and that's how they discovered time travel.

People always talk about The Way Home from the angle of "imagine getting to hang out with and be friends with your mom as a teenager" and I agree but I also can't stop thinking from Fern's perspective. You have a best friend as a young adult. You get to hear about her daughter and her life. She holds you when you lose the love of your life. She's the first person you tell you're pregnant. Oh and yeah, she's your great-grandaughter. And you were there when she came home from the hospital. And you probably held her and tried to soothe her as she grew, and she never knew how much she meant to you the whole time because you can't tell her.

#this is so well put #the other side of the coin with the time travel aspect of this show #I just love the way it explores all the family dynamics in both the past and present timeline so much #the way home

This show will remain one of my all time favorites for years to come. It's in my tv hall of fame with what's mostly my childhood favorites. This one is a true gem. A family centered show with time travel, and the adventures helping to grow the characters together and separately and giving them closure in unexpected ways.

It's got all the heart and humor and adventures that always make up my favorite stories. Thanks to the cast and crew for all the memories and stories the last 4 years. 🫶🏼💙✨
