I'm She/They, my age is Legal in 'Country of Residence', and said country gets at least 3 minutes of daylight every decade.
My other socials are NOW ON MY CARRD GO LOOK AT IT
I have between 1 and 7 limbs.
I make posters, if you can call them that. I also game. I game more than I make posters. I don't do commissions though, posters but no commissions.
Speaking of my posters here's one I have no recollection of creating:
I don't even think I make them anymore, I think they just appear on my hard drive randomly whenever a fandom gets too big.
I do have a tag, #qwank's stuff. If you ever find yourself scrolling that, I'm sorry.
Just added another tag, #qwank's selling stuff, check it out if you wanna waste money or something, store link is in MY CARRD GO LOOK AT IT, as well as right here
Anyway BYE my memory is worse than that of a stick of ram, this is just here to make me shit myself anytime I come to my page. I also do not like being @'d so please not do that.
All magic users within the land of (whatever the fuck I called it) imbue their magic into something to utilize it. Magic users aren't confined to one single form of imbuement, although many will find it easier to imbue in one form, than another, while many are capable of imbuement within multiple fields.
Info below the cut, TL:DR at the VERY bottom.
Alchemists:
Alchemists imbue their magic into magical potions or other natural concoctions. Due to how they may imbue their magic, it can take days or even weeks to properly construct a basic spell, although due to this time investment, many turn out stronger, quicker, more versatile, or more volatile.
Due to how long it takes for an Alchemist to imbue their potions with Magic, many often take on another form of Imbuement as a substitute for things that need a fix Now (i.e. you would want a quick healing spell that you can conjure to save you, or another, quickly).
Artificers:
Alike Alchemists, Artificers imbue Objects and Mechanisms with magic, often times to enhance it's capabilities. Due to many of these items being robust, multiuse items, Artificers are capable of making longer lasting spells, although due to many stronger materials requiring more effort to imbue, a lot of Artificer tools take a lot longer to complete.
Also alike Alchemists, due to the time investment for recovering/creating tools, many will take on a second form of Imbuement to substitute.
Wizards:
Taking to Imbuement through Art, Wizards typically inscribe items with magical properties and then call upon them to use their Magic. Unlike Alchemists, Artificers or Sorcerers, Wizards conjure the magic Directly instead of utilizing tools, and are thus capable of quickly outputting Magic to do so as they please.
Due to requiring inscribing items with Magic, rather then crafting them with magic, Wizards are capable of very quickly creating new spells, although due to outputting their Magic directly, are often weaker or less versatile.
Witches:
Witches imbue their Magic directly into their environment. While many Magic may affect their surroundings indirectly through their Magic output, Witches intentionally imbue areas with their influence. These areas may be small, allowing Witches to create quick pockets of influence, or they may expand on an initial one, allowing them to create a massive effect over wide areas.
Due to the massive amount of magic required to Imbue such a large area, Witches require a long time to become fully prepared, often taking Years. Although the effort and time of this task can be offset by friends/companions, a lot of Witches prefer solitude to perfect their craft, and to protect people close to them, and as such are less willing to accept help from outside influence.
A Witch's area of influence is typically called their Den, Nest or Lair.
Sorcerers:
Frequently the first form of Imbuement a magic user learns, Sorcerers imbue themselves with their own magic. Due to this, most Magic users (intentionally or not) are Sorcerers, with only a select few removing their own imbuement, or not imbuing themselves at all.
Due to the effects of Magic, Sorcerers who fully dedicate to their craft often have their body and/or clothes warp, taking on new forms over time, although this can be offset with a little effort, if the user desires. Due to Imbuing themselves with magic, a lot of their spells utilize their own energy, which means the more taxing spells can leave an impact on the user. Due to the ease of access, Alchemists, Artificers, Wizards and Witches utilize Sorcery as a backup for when their more advanced options are exhausted.
Warlocks/Cleric:
Warlocks and Clerics both share similar forms of imbuement, in which they select a Figure (Typically a God or other Person of Worship) to imbue their magic into, utilizing their figure as a sort of "Magic Bank". The difference lies in how they access their imbued magic.
Clerics access their magic actively, needing to take time to Imbue their Magic and to keep it topped up.
Warlocks access their magic passively, acting more as a conduit for their Magic. When not in active use, Warlocks slowly deposit their Magic to their figure, while slowly retrieving it over time when in use. Due to having a constant flow of Magic through themselves, like Sorcerers, Warlocks often have their body and/or clothes warp over time, although at a slower rate.
Figures can be any sort of entity that the user can perceive. These are frequently Religious entities, such as Demi/Gods, but are also frequently Partners, Friends or Loved Ones. These can even include non-magic users, which can allow them to briefly access Magic, although at great risk.
Due to Figures being entities themselves, many are able to control the flow of a Warlock's or Cleric's magic, even being able to cut them off.
Magic users that closely bond typically make each other their Figures, and this is typically viewed as the most intimate relationship between magic users.
In simpler, Warlocks/Clerics are Sorcerers that substitute their own body for another's, and as such hold similar aspects.
Other:
Paladins:
Paladins are types of Wizards that imbue Weapons and Armour with their magic. Due to this a lot of their arsenal have magical properties, and are often Figures for many Warlocks or Clerics.
Due to metal being an amazing conduit for Magic, a majority of Paladins are extremely strong and versatile, although many Wizards typically struggle to control their magic output initially.
Druids:
Druids are typically Witches or Sorcerers that focus more on their relationship with Nature, often making their Nests out of Trees and other plant matter.
Many Sorcerer Druids reconstruct their bodies in a more floral or animalistic style, taking on aspects of nearby life, if not taking their forms directly.
Bard:
Bards are typically Wizards or Artificers that imbue their magic in items more focused on Entertainment.
Wizard Bards typically imbue their magic into the arts themselves, whether they are Dances, or other displays.
Artificer Bards imbue their magic into their items. Typically these are musical instruments, but can include costumes and other performance items such as puppets.
Occasionally, Bards are also Sorcerers, typically specializing in Vocalized magic to empower their spells.
Mancers/Kinetics:
Mancers/Kinetics are Magic Users that specialize in a specific aspect of the world. Geomancers are a prime example, as they are capable of shaping the very earth itself. Pyrokinetics are another prime example, capable of conjuring and controlling heat and flame.
A Mancer is a magic user that utilizes the environment around them to use their magic, while Kinetics conjure up the aspects directly. Due to the energy required to conjure up materials like Earth, there are very few Geokinetics within the realm.

- Wizards imbue their magic into Media
- Witches imbue their magic in the Environment

Me: Yeah when the Ptolmaic dynasties collapsed the temple system in egypt ran out of money. It was hard to find alchemical work so I moved to Alexandria. I'm living with like, four other eunuchs in a scriptorium closet.
Cobblers "son" with shaky eyeliner: Ma'am your arms are quite well defined for an alchemist.
hey all! i've built a new ao3 fork called fanfiction.lol 🤙🏽 key differences:
🚫 no invite queue: sign up and start posting immediately. no waiting, no velvet rope.
🏳️🌈 expanded content warnings: added ableism, homophobia/transphobia, racism, rpf and more. plus relationship tags for aro/ace spectrum, qpr, non-binary/genderqueer focus, poly/ensemble, and more.
🏷️ all tags are canonical: everything you tag goes into the searchable record. no volunteer wrangling bottleneck.
💜 fandom-agnostic moderation: i care about the writing, not fandom politics or discourse. write whatever you want, tag it honestly.
it's a small personal project but fan communities deserve independent infrastructure.
if you enjoy fandom, i'd love for you to sign up and poke around. tell me what breaks. the source code is at source.tube/brennan/fanfiction.lol.
Hi, I wanted to add some more info about fanfic.lol based on some replies. I was trying to keep the original post short and have done write-ups elsewhere but I'll reiterate here.
The admin/webmaster: I'm Brennan! I'm a Queer Red River Métis writer and webdev and huge advocate for the IndieWeb. You can get to know to me on my site, brennan.day
I made this for fun, and it's running using a homelab server in my basement. I don't make money or anything else. I'm just doing it for the love of ball.
fanfic.lol is meant to be a small, independent alternative for fanfic and fandom that prioritizes joy and fun. No aims at trying to replace AO3!
I am anti-genAI and so is the site. You can read more about my stance on AI here.
Archive warnings, like everything else, are under construction! I do have to adhere to the laws of my country (Canada). Please be patient.
I am pushing straight to production, which is to say the entire site could explode at anytime, so please do not use it as the only place you put things! :)
I forsee only a handful of people using this site, it def isn't for everyone. If you don't like it that's okay! Whether you want to give me input or just ignore it entirely.
I did a longer write-up here. Thank you everyone for the kind, warm reception of my silly little project. <3
I love the longer write-up. It gives me a much better sense of where you're coming from and why people should trust you—or which users would be a good fit.
I was there for the start of AO3, and we really did think we were going to usher in the next age of archives a la eFiction. It took too long for AO3's code to be in that kind of shape and the internet changed radically around us. We did not mean to create a behemoth. We just wanted venture capital bros to stop disrespecting us.
As a side note, all the comments you're getting like "There already is a fanfiction website. Wtf" are exactly what people said about AO3/OTW in 2007. There was a ton of bitching about us stealing FFN's idea. (Never mind that there were older archives.) There were frequent complaints about how there was already "an archive" and we didn't need another. Most of that discussion got deleted when FFN decided to nuke all of its inactive social spaces one Thanksgiving weekend while nobody was around to object or save their data. But I was there and I remember it and it sounded exactly like these comments now.
The oldschool core of AO3 was into the age of archives. We liked there being lots of different little spaces run by different fans. It's nice to see that energy floating around in 2026. Go indieweb!
I wish you a hundred invested users who want to form a community and nobody else.
havent checked it out personally yet but just a super important note that since op says hes obeying canadian laws:
canadian laws are very different then most countries, ergo, if you want to post underage/gruesome stuff, it would be safer for op if you posted on that on ao3 instead. obscenity laws do in fact exist here and op get in legal trouble depending on what you post. so you know, be nice to op.
someone already asked op "is dead dove and proship content allowed here" and he said "yes if its legal" but didn't clarify what that meant, but basically in canada its
"if it can be interpreted as obscene, you can get in trouble"
so while you can get away with sfw content of lets say an adult/minor, it can bring things into outright illegal territories if you make it nsfw. but its not JUST that. our obscenity laws ALSO apply to violent sexual horror. so if your kink is lets say, woundfucking, a person can get op in legal trouble for hosting it, even if everything is all consensual.
people don't often get in trouble for obscenity laws because its So Much Effort, but from a hosting perspective thats different. a user posting content on ao3 isn't really gonna get tracked down, but a canadian hosting a website could be.
in conclusion: make sure to check out your kinks on canadian law sites before you do anything here. genuinely a nice project, just be careful for ops sake
Yup. Good point. That's something to look out for in most archives, whether from owner preference or local laws. I'd say the US is more of an outlier than Canada; we just exert an undue influence on internet culture.
A return to an Age of Archives means reading the rules of each more carefully. There used to be a lot more variability, not just because of laws but also in terms of focus.
In general, if you post a lot of underage, violent kink or noncon, AO3 is probably going to remain the right choice for hosting. A number of countries, not just Canada, go after a lot of things in text that the US does not.
I want to emphasize that this isn't a stance on OP's part any more than AO3 having to comply with US trade embargoes represents AO3 staff's personal opinions on Cubans. This is just the reality of running a site.
sign up and start posting immediately. no waiting, no velvet rope
This is how you get bots. If the site gets any decent exposure, it's going to get infested within 24 hours of a script getting written. If the site allows hosting of random files or http links to other sites it'll rapidly become exploited as a malware distributor.
AO3 does the invite thing expressly because that's an important mechanism to mitigate fake accounts.
i accept art requests on my art blog but i can tell when your request makes you horny and will make you pay for those. if you requested something multiple times and i haven't drawn it it's because i'm waiting for the fucking jerk-off tax to find its way to my bank acct
