୨୧⊹ he’s so used to being submissive to his dad’s whims that he keeps nate around just to flip the power dynamic and have someone hang on his every word, even though he doesn’t think highly of nate at all

୨୧⊹ same thing with miriam; zane tends to surround himself with people he feels like he has superiority over because he doesn’t think highly of himself or in control (which slowly changes over time thanks to rikki)

୨୧⊹ very good with his hands and great at fixing things, like when he managed to fix rikki’s dad’s motorcycle
