“Ya.” He agreed and carefully shimmied out from beneath the covers. Making sure she was well tucked in before he jerked his head to the door at Credence. Each step slow and deliberate to not make any noise until he was well far out of the room. “She’s a sweet little thing.” He said quietly, still not trusting her to stay asleep if he was louder. “An’ she’s real lucky ta have you. Yer a wonderful brother.”

Credence nodded, getting up silently with ease as he had done so often with her before. He followed Steve out, smiling softly at the mans comments. “I’m not all that.” He said softly. “But, thank you.” He kept his voice soft, also not wanting to wake the small girl from her rest. “I’m glad she seems to like you, almost as much as I do.” Credence spoke softly, slipping past Steve and out of the room.

Steve turned off the light and closed the door, leaving it open just a bit so that she’d have the light from the hall if she woke up scared in the night. “I think yer swell too Credence.” He said softly and gently ushered him into his own room. “Come on, She ain’t the only one whose tuckered out I’ll bet.” He encouraged, moving to strip off his own shirt and pants down to his boxers. He’d sleep naked but well…. He didn’t want Modesty to accidentally wake up and walk in.

Credence flushed slightly from the compliment, shaking is head. “You flatter me too much.” He said softly, though he couldn’t deny he enjoyed the compliments and affections that Steve always gave him. Credence let Steve usher him into the room, watching as the other stripped down. Usually Credence didn’t sleep naked, but with Steve everything was different, Credence liked sleeping without clothing next to him. After a moment he removed his own pants and shirt, moving over to the bed in order to lay down.
