“Excellent!” Liza beamed excitedly. This was the first time since she was little that she brought a friend home to hang out. It was exciting! With a wave forward, she leaned against the frame of the revolving door. “These can be tricky the first time, but once you get used to it, it can be fun.”
As soon as she saw that revolving door, Ava makes a face. Titan’s were always worse, as they usually locked quickly, but Liza seemed excited so that must mean something. Even so, Ava cautiously approaches the door with her. “You go first.”
"Sure!" Oh goodness, she hoped she hadn't frightened her new friend. With a solid push, as well as a bit of a giggle, she was on the other side of the door.
((Liza was always weird, but as a kid she was more well adjusted and better at talking to people and making friends. After her mom died and Damian ran away, she withdrew considerably and isolated herself. She basically lost her whole family in the span of 3 years, and she was determined to never let that happen again.))

“It won’t be an issue at all.” Liza offers a reassuring smile, or what she hopes was one. It wasn’t as if anyone would care; the front desk would be far too busy, and father and Renee were out. The only thing was if she felt cornered into it. “I won’t force you to, but you’re more than welcome.”
“Oh, well, uh…” If Liza thought it wouldn’t be, then… Ava had to at least try. After a moment she nods to herself, slowly building up to a confident, single nod towards Liza. “Lead on!” The gesture was nice enough that she would feel worse saying no, and she had no reason to worry right now. Right?

creepiestcutie:
“Thank you. It’s easier to spell, at least.”
She isn’t used to being complimented; really, she wasn’t used to being talked to at all, save for a few sentences over her father’s business deals. It was nice…though, she wasn’t sure where to go from here. “Would you like to come in? The lobby shouldn’t be too busy right now, and if you’re with me they won’t make you check in at the front desk.”
Would she like to come in? Despite normal hesitations, both for her own sake and the safety of items and people within, Ava doesn’t really hesitate before she nods. “Oh, uh, sure! So long as it… Won’t be an issue.” She’s already starting to make sure her hands are tucked into her pockets either way, safe.

“I’m glad as well. It’s an honor to meet you, Ava.” She takes the hand and gives it a firm shake, offering a shy smile in return; this being a first meeting, she was still a bit guarded and didn’t want to be overly forward.
“Thank you! It’s short for Elizabeth, so…Ava is lovely as well. Short, but sweet.”
As soon as the handshake is over, her hand goes right back into her pocket so the Vengess doesn’t cause any problems. While she wasn’t nervous in the traditional way she caused problems, she didn’t want to take any chances. Her head tilts to the side at the full name. That sounded… Really fancy, especially considering how many other people she knew with shortened versions of their names.
“Elizabeth is nice too, I can see why you like Liza though. Short ‘nd sweet…”

((Liza is bi but she’s super in the closet, because her parents are the type that think they’re progressive, but they have a ton of misconceptions about the LGBT community and are obsessed with keeping up their public image.
Anyways, she should be able to have a girlfriend someday.
Give Liza a badass girlfriend and/or a nerdy shy boyfriend.))

(( Liza has body image issues. As a kid, her parents would say things like “don’t eat too many cookies, or you’ll get fat!” and “Do you really want to wear THAT dress?” and “someday when you’re older, we can get you braces to fix those teeth of yours” and stuff. Before big parties, her mother used to put a little makeup on her-mostly foundation and a little blush.
She started doing her own makeup around the age of 12, and now as a teenager she puts it on every day, no matter if she’s going somewhere or not. Unless she’s bathing or going to bed, Liza never goes barefaced.
That’s also why she covers her mouth a lot when she smiles or smiles close-mouthed. She’s self conscious about her teeth, but is too afraid to get braces. She was going to get them shortly before her mother died, but after that, and with the subsequent fracturing of her family, that was pushed to the back of everyone else’s mind.))
creepiestcutie:
“That’s very kind of you.” Liza offered a rare, genuine smile. Ava was right, and she was glad that someone else was brave enough to say it. A look overcame her face, as if she had just been struck with a dawning awareness.
“Likewise, if you ever need a favor, anything at all, just name it. I’m Liza, by the way…Liza Espinoza.”
Pulling a sleeve over her hand, Ava then offers it out towards Liza, still beaming. “Ava. ‘M glad we both have the same opinion of certain people, Liza.” As rare as it was for Ava to find people who she assumed to be near her own age, it was harder still to find people who shared… Most of the same ideas as she did.
So Liza was, in part, one in a million. “…Liza is a very nice name, by the way.”
“I’m glad as well. It’s an honor to meet you, Ava.” She takes the hand and gives it a firm shake, offering a shy smile in return; this being a first meeting, she was still a bit guarded and didn’t want to be overly forward.

“Go away, just go! I don’t want you to see me like this, so…out!”
Sora just silently stared at the girl and sighed, walking away from her/
Liza bit her lip, stifling herself as much as she could. Normally she wouldn’t be this rude, she was having a bad day was all.
“I’m sorry. I never meant to shout, I...”
“Go away, just go! I don’t want you to see me like this, so...out!”
