Here I am... Rising from the goddamn dead. Again. I have so much to change and update on this blog.
Hey guys. Iām alive!
You thought I was dead but no! Simply busy. And doing art.
Inspired by @bakuracult 's headcanon.
crestfallen-snowā:
āI know itās scary.ā The hug is a gentle, yet firm. He was doing his best to comfort Nirilhe, genuine care showing.
āBut youāre safe. As long as we are traveling together, I will not allow you to be harmed or taken.ā Ryveth spoke quietly, in a tone that hopefully soothed the scared mer. āIt is a big matter. Your fear is justified, and you do not have to apologize or try and hide it.ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā He looks up at Ryveth through his tears, hiccuping as his body attempted to force him to breathe.Ā āThāthank you, Ryveth.ā he mumbled.Ā āIā¦I canāt go back to that lifeā¦ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Nirilhe clawed in frustration at his collar, not trying hard enough to actually pull it from his throat, but enough to show his disdain for the binding object.
"You won't." He soothed, gently petting a hand over the younger mer's head, not unlike a father may do to console a child. "I will make sure of it."
Noticing Nirilhe claw at the collar, Ryveth gently caught the offending hand, concerned the poor snow elf would hurt himself. "Careful, careful. We'll have to find someone skilled to remove it."
crestfallen-snow
āNo.ā He hissed out, orange eyes flashing as he looked at the other vampire. Despite the denial, it was plain to see that Ryveth was struggling with his own hunger. The freshly spilled blood made him clench his teeth together.
Leondasā tempting nearly made the snow elf let go of the nord so that he might flee the situation, though as it it were, his grip only slackened somewhat. He didnāt think that the bosmer would be all too pleased to be suddenly struck by a flailing human, and given how only one of them was well fed in the slightest, Ryveth didnāt trust that he could overpower the other should it come to a fight.
āFinish him off- So that I may go.ā He grit the statement out, clenched teeth muffling the words somewhat.
The creature snorted, knowing that look in his eyes all too well. He could sense the beast within him, begging for just a taste of the banquet before him. How cruel to deny himself such a feast. But, then again, that always meant more for him.
Still, Leondas wouldnāt keep quiet about the subject. ā Youāre no fun. ā he chided. As his attention fell upon his prey once more, the Nord began to squirm, unable to free himself from either of the vampires. The Bosmer grinned, tut-tutting in mock sympathy as he gazed down at the mortal. He intended to drag this out, so keen on tempting the other to join in his horrid feast.
ā Is it not entertaining? ā he mused, half to himself and half to the other vampire. ā To watch them try to escape? Silly little mortals.. ā
He licked at the crimson coating his claws, humming in contentment.Ā ā And so deliciousĀ as well. I canāt see how you can resist them. ā
The creature eventually ceased his efforts of torment, only to fall upon the Nordās neck and continue his feeding⦠as noisily and messily as he could. It wouldnāt take long for the vigilante to pass out from blood loss, soon to succumb to an endless slumber due to the parasiteās feeding.
"It's entertaining." He admits, glowing eyes narrowing as he stared at the dying nord. The hatred that burned in them was far more intense than even the gnawing hunger that he barely held himself back from.
"I hold myself back simply because I do not wish to lower myself to relying on them for anything." He sneers, though it was a lie. He feared the nords, true, but he feared losing the last shreds of his sanity to the beast inside him far more.
His frown deepened at Leo's sloppy eating. Clearly he wasn't amused, but he also had to look away and shuffle a pace back. "I personally don't understand your taste for them. At least, savaging them as though you were no more than a beast. There are far cleaner ways to eat." Despite the chiding words, the tone was plain, and not at all condescending. It was as though Ryveth were simply stating a fact.
crestfallen-snow
He simply nodded and waited, almost immediately following Leondas as he tackled the vigilante. Ryveth pinned the manās outstretched hands down so that he could not hope to draw his weapons.
A sneer was visible on the merās pale face as he watched fear take hold of the now trapped nord. It was clear that he held a certain hatred for humans at least, if not specifically nords, but he made no move to feed.
In fact, should Leondas begin feeding, even the smell of blood wouldnāt make him lose his control even as bloodlust filled his burning gaze. No, he would simply tighten his grip on the manās wrists, nearly breaking them.
Leondas wasted no time in attacking the manās neck. Claws gripping his scalp, the creature leaned over him and began to feed. His teeth naturally summoned a cry of pain from his victim, causing him to release his head and instead struggle to clamp his hand over his mouth. He hated the screaming. As entertaining as it was, he wasnāt fond of them yelling right into his earsĀ while he feasted. They were quite sensitive to such shrill noises.
A few moments passed before the vampire withdrew with a content sigh, his tongue making quick work to catch any dribbling crimson from his lips. His companion had yet to accompany him. So he was keeping his word. Leondas found it almost admirable that he had such control over himself, but he was also tempted to break that control. What fun was it to restrain oneself from feeding? It was simply torture.
ā Are you sure you donāt want a bite? Nord blood is always nice on a cold winterās night.Ā ā he purred teasingly. In hopes of further tempting the other vampire, his claws slowly raked across one of the manās arms, leaving shallow cuts that quickly began to spill blood.
ā Iām more than willing to share. After all, you did help me subdue him. ā
"No." He hissed out, orange eyes flashing as he looked at the other vampire. Despite the denial, it was plain to see that Ryveth was struggling with his own hunger. The freshly spilled blood made him clench his teeth together.
Leondas' tempting nearly made the snow elf let go of the nord so that he might flee the situation, though as it it were, his grip only slackened somewhat. He didn't think that the bosmer would be all too pleased to be suddenly struck by a flailing human, and given how only one of them was well fed in the slightest, Ryveth didn't trust that he could overpower the other should it come to a fight.
"Finish him off- So that I may go." He grit the statement out, clenched teeth muffling the words somewhat.
"You go such long times without feeding, it's pretty impressive you haven't lost you mind" - bloodrustandrage
Ryveth stares at the woman, his eyes hard. āI refuse to become little more than a mere animal. If not feeding kills me or gets me killed, then so be it.ā
@bloodrustandrage
āBut it hasnāt so that makes you pretty impressive⦠Iām not going to try to convince you to feed.ā Unia was smiling she was trying to complement the mer infront of her.
Ryveth shifts, looking away from her. āI suppose that is true. It is⦠Quite hard to heal sometimes.ā There had been more than one close call, certainly. āWhat is it you want?ā
Unia shrugged āhonestly thereās nothing you have that I want, but I do enjoy a chat with someone every once in awhileā she was completely relaxed her staff was put away her hands calmly at her side. Unia obviously didnāt really perceive Ryveth as a threat.
"Do you make it a habit to chat up any old vampire then? Or are you here to pick at things you don't understand?" It was clear he didn't trust her. He hadn't survived for so long by getting to know every person who thought he was a little too pale to be an Altmer.
"I just need a minute."
Nightmare Sentence Starters!
@crestfallen-snow
āĀ ā¦Alright. ā
Leondas wasnāt about to press, knowing how vicious nightmares could be to their victims. The night terrors vampires faced were especially damaging.Ā
He forced a faint smile in hopes of comforting Ryveth.
ā If you need anything, you have only to ask.Ā ā
Sleep was never restful. Perhaps that was why he never sought it. For now, it was all he could do to try and shake himself out of the battlefield he had found himself thrown back into.
He muttered under his breath, begging himself to remember that it had been thousands of years since that war had occurred. Thousands of years since he'd watched his prince be slain by a mere child. A human child. Nords.
Tears burned his glowing eyes, though he hid his face from the Bosmer even as he sat there.
He couldn't hide the ones that fell to the stone below, though.
@crestfallen-snow || here!!
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā He sniffles, reaching up to rub at his eye with his wrist. As he looks up to see the older merĀ offer him a hug, he gladlyĀ takes it, wrapping his arms around Ryveth firmly and burying his face in his chest.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āItās just⦠Iām never sure if Iāll live to see the next day, or if⦠something bad happens and Iām no longer freeā¦ā he starts.Ā āI know itās not a big matter, but⦠Everything just builds upā¦ā
"I know it's scary." The hug is a gentle, yet firm. He was doing his best to comfort Nirilhe, genuine care showing.
"But you're safe. As long as we are traveling together, I will not allow you to be harmed or taken." Ryveth spoke quietly, in a tone that hopefully soothed the scared mer. "It is a big matter. Your fear is justified, and you do not have to apologize or try and hide it."

The confirmation drew a bitter smile to his face. He didnāt dare ask what might have happened to this Agruhek. He already harbored enough anger toward the world, and the fact that their names were taken from them was bad enough. āThat sounds like him. He was always a kind, soft hearted child.ā
When Nirilhe mentioned his daughter, Ryveth opened his eyes and gave a sympathetic look. āNo parent should ever suffer the loss of a child. Iām sorry, Nirilhe.ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āIf he was your son⦠Iām sure he would have been delighted to know youāre still alive.ā he murmurs, with the hopes of comforting Ryveth even slightly.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āItās alright. It wasnāt your fault,ā he responds.Ā āIā¦just hope that sheās still around. Maybe still in Cyrodiil.āĀ
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Heās silent for a couple moments, wringing his hands in front of his chest.Ā āIā¦Iām sorry, Iāve made thisā¦a bit awkward. Perhapsā¦Perhaps we should talk about something a bit lighter.ā
"No, forgive me. I'm the one who started us into this conversation." He forced a smile, silent for a few moments as he racked his brain for a new subject.
"You'll have to forgive me if I'm not good with conversation. You're the first I've willingly talked to in... centuries." He chuckles lightly, doing his best to alleviate the heavy atmosphere.

The mer watched as the Vigilant approached. The hateful look in his eyes sharpened as he saw the manās face beneath his hood. A Nord. Already, he was reaching for his war pick. He wouldnāt mind a little pain.
The Bosmerās voice made him pause, though, and that red orange gaze slid to meet the otherās. With a slight inclination of his head, he spoke. Quietly, so that the approaching man could not have heard. āI would be more than happy to help you kill him. But I refuse to feed.ā
It was a simple admission, and one that may be misunderstood in the moment, but a firm one. Nord or otherwise, Ryveth defeated the thought of feeding. He feared losing who he once was, amongst other things.
āI suppose that means more for you, though. Even if you couldnāt drain him dead, I would ensure he wouldnāt survive.ā His gaze was now trained on the enemy once more, and he drew that pick silently. The edge glimmered red and blue, a telltale sign of high level enchantments.
The Bosmer slowly raised a brow whilst the other furrowed, silent as he pondered whether or not heād heard correctly. He⦠refused to feed?
He shook his head, deciding to mull over that subject once the Nord had been dealt with. No use in getting distracted now. Surely the fellow vampire would partake in the spoils of their kill. He knew of some that tried to restrain themselves, deciding to feed on lowlifes such as bandits instead of any mortal that crossed their path. But he rarely met a vampire that avoided feeding altogether. It was unnatural! He couldnāt bear the thought of starving oneself intentionally for so long.
ā Whatever you say, ā he mumbled. ā Just help me hold him down. ā
A clawed hand gripped his blade as Leondas crouched, reading to pounce upon the Nord as he walked past them unknowingly. In a flash, the vampire had sprung from their hiding and tackled the vigilante.
He simply nodded and waited, almost immediately following Leondas as he tackled the vigilante. Ryveth pinned the man's outstretched hands down so that he could not hope to draw his weapons.

I'm not sure how many people saw it, but awhile back there was a post showcasing the etsy shop Blusy's beautiful work with wood and acrylic. I got a sphere that legitimately looks like I have my own universe in a bubble, and I love it. The artist is incredibly sweet and kept me updated as well. The wait and money were well worth it.
Y'all should at least check them out. Here's a link to the shop directly:

āFailor⦠Yes, I knew him. He was in the group of refugees with me and my son after the war. I advocated against accepting the Dwemerās help. The rest⦠They were scared, and when people started dying they went without me.ā He swallowed thickly.Ā āYou might have met my son. Who knows? His name was Nyrrilor.āĀ
He went quiet for a few long moments, closing his eyes and rubbing at them as though he were holding back tears.Ā āI am sorry.ā He hadnāt meant to get so emotional.Ā āI can try to answer questions you have about our people, if you wish. Iād also be happy to assist you with learning our language.ā It was an attempt to divert the subject. Clearly, the older mer was still grieving, even if he didnāt show it outwardly.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Nirilhe takes in a sharp breath when the older merĀ confirms that he knew his father, and quickly hugs the journal to his chest.Ā āāNyrrilorā⦠It⦠It sounds familiar.ā he murmurs.Ā āThe Dwemer gave us Dwemeri names⦠They refused to call us by our real names, so itās hard to remember⦠But I do think I knew him. Your scentĀ reminds me of a neighbor. Agruhrek⦠He might have been Nyrrilor. He helped me a lot when I was little.ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā He looks up again when Ryveth apologizes.Ā āā¦You donāt need to apologize. Iā¦I fully understand how you feel. I havenāt seen my daughter since the Oblivion Crisis.ā he murmurs.
The confirmation drew a bitter smile to his face. He didn't dare ask what might have happened to this Agruhek. He already harbored enough anger toward the world, and the fact that their names were taken from them was bad enough. "That sounds like him. He was always a kind, soft hearted child."

Cry

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Sometimes the stress got to him. It appears tonight would be one of those times. He tried to stay quiet, covering his mouth with his hand to stifle his sobs. Of course, knowing his luck, Ryveth heard him and asked what was wrong.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āNāNothing. Iām fine.ā he whimpers, trying to dry his eyes. He flinches when the older Mer cupped his face and wiped the tears from his cheeks.
"It's okay to cry Nirilhe." His tone was as gentle as his touch, using his thumb to brush his tears away. "And I'm not going to push you to tell me what hurts you so. That is something you choose to tell."
Ryveth offered him a patient smile, before awkwardly offering the younger mer a hug. It had been a very long time since he had tried to comfort someone, and he wasn't quite sure how to help Nirilhe.
