This is my new bikini. I love it.

I uploaded this picture to instagram the other day without really thinking much about it because I’m in the middle of a confidence boost and then went and got in the shower.

While washing my hair I started to think up comebacks to nasty things people were potentially going to say to me.

The more I thought about it (and the more sassy arguments I came up with/laughed at myself for) the more I started to wonder why it should be that I was getting ready for negative comments rather than positive ones.

As it happened, I didn’t get any negative comments, I got solely lovely ones and also a bunch of wonderful new followers, but I’m very aware that this isn’t the case for a lot of people.

I’m not the first or the only person to make this point but if something appears in your newsfeed that you don’t like, please don’t feel the need to tear that person down. You have no idea how much you can hurt someone with simple words.

Just scroll on by and save yourself the embarrassment of being potentially torn down by a plump chick who has spent at least 20 minutes thinking up an answer back to your bullshit.
