Im reflecting on the iron lung movie

i got to see it 3 times before it left theaters in my area, and i realized at my last showing that i watch iron lung as if me believing in simon and ava hard enough will change the outcome of the story

maybe this time there won’t be a catastrophic hull breach. maybe this time simon doesn’t lose his arm. maybe this time ava doesn’t leave simon.

i know the story will not change. but i will watch it over and over and over again hoping that maybe this time, just this once, simon will be saved.
