I would be here all day writing a list of all the rhink writers in the fandom bc I love them all so much, but for the long chaptered fics, I’ll suggest the following (for now):“Juridiction”. Lawyers in love. How could that not be more enticing? By the inimitable @becausethathappens“Changing Seasons”. It’s a beautifully angsty story about Link coping with the loss of his wife, as well as coming to terms with his latent desire for Rhett. Rhett feels it, too. Set in the future–both men are in their 60’s. By the incredible @cellard0ors
“The Murmur of Yearning”. Yearning is the perfect word to describe this display of love. Link is a professor who’s given an opportunity to travel to Antarctica for research. There he meets a tumultuous soul and the rest…is history. By the sublime @its-mike-kapufty. “Wild Horses”. Younger Rhett and Link in an alternate universe with a Buies Creek backdrop. It’s the softness I always long for. By the absolutely wonderful @lallyloo“Rhinestone Cowboy”. This right here has some serious Lohn Lightning vibes, but with slow burn and intense emotion. And slow burn is always written beautifully by the supremely talented @soho-x “Don’t Blame Me”. Rhett is a camboy. And Link is a sugar daddy. Need I say more? ;) By the exceptional @rhettjmc For @apparentlynotreallyfinnish, I suggest reading, if you haven’t done so already, Let Me Be Your Light. Rhett is a lighthouse keeper and Link is a pilot that makes provision dropoffs. Somewhere in between, these two find each other…and decide it’s only them. For the rest of their lives. Angst up the wazoo, in the BEST way. For @malienessan, I suggest reading, if you haven’t done so already, “The Lives and Deaths of Rhett McLaughlin–A Story of Love Through the Centuries”. What I love about this story in particular is that in every iteration of Rhett’s life, he has Link. It’s tumultuous. There’s themes of pure sadness. But it’s this multidimensional love that I cherish so much. For @pinecontents, I suggest reading, if you haven’t done so already, “Hidden Treasure”. It’s a sweet declaration of young love, with a coming of age vibe. Link is the new kid at school, only a couple months before graduation and Rhett finds himself fascinated by him. There’s something about a positive curated high school experience that appeals to me, considering mine was hell 😂. There are TONS MORE I could suggest, but for right now, I’ll leave it that. I hope you enjoy all of these beautiful stories. I tried to supply you with variety, but I also know that some premises aren’t everyone’s cup of tea.
