I think about huntbastian...
The first time I watched Merlin was five years ago, when I was actually still a child. I re-watched the show often, but for some reason it was only recently that I realized the full tragedy of Merlin.
Just feel it: his friends, his family, his love - it's all in the past. All the smiles, all the jokes, all the happiness left there. Far, far away, thousands of years ago. And he can't move on, can't start a new life, because the burden of deaths and unfulfilled destiny is so great that these memories are the only thing he has for long centuries. No one knows his real story, no one understands all this pain, and all he has to do is wait. Wait until eternity.
It's not a happy ending
Gwaine: Merlin, where's Arthur?
Merlin: Erm, I don't know, hunting, maybe?
Gwaine: And without you?
Merlin: He often doesn't listen to me.
Gwaine: Then what's in your closet?
Merlin: Nothing.
Arthur *falls out of the closet*: I can explain.
Gwaine: Of course you can
Arthur: Give me a minute to come up with a plausible explanation.
Gwaine: Sure. Should I go out and come back in again?
Arthur: Yes, preferably
You know what I'd like to see in Merlin? An episode, already after Uther's death, where some curse or spell forces Merlin to reveal his magic to Arthur. I want to see the reaction of Arthur (and maybe the knights, why not) going through all the stages of acceptance. I want to see his disbelief, denial, anger, which at a crucial moment of life and death returns to the same unconditional trust. When Merlin saves him through magic, proving his loyalty and sacrifice. I want to see that brief moment when Arthur fully accepts Merlin. But a curse is wreaking havoc in the kingdom, to stop it Merlin will have to reverse its effects. Erase everyone's memories. Then Arthur, forgetting everything and seeing the destruction that magic has brought again, will speak of the evils of magic, that magic corrupts. And Merlin never dares speak to him about himself again until the finale.
oh I'm crying
-candyland-
Sam: okay, look, these are gingerbread chips that you use to move around the playing field.
Jack: why is there a deck of cards?
Dean: you take a card with a certain color and it dictates where you go.
Crowley: only play for money, kiddo.
Gabriel: great advice. That's how I won the sword from Henry VIII.
Sam: you played Candyland with the king of England?
Gabriel: well, that's not what it was called then, but that's the gist of it.
Sam: oh, well, okay, all right, Jack, draw a card.
Michael: do people actually find it interesting?
Adam: it's fun.
Michael: is it?
Adam: trust me, you'll love it.
sooner
Crowley: I'm the witch of Peppermint Stick Forest, and you have to pay taxes.
Gabriel: leave the kid alone. I, as king of Candy Castle, have abolished taxes.
Crowley: that's stupid, your economy is going nowhere. Your Ice Cream Sea is about to dry up.
Jack: what's going on, I'm lost in Gumdrop Mountain.
Michael: well, you're in luck, I'm trapped in the Crooked Old Peanut Brittle House.
Crowley: no one is trapped anywhere, go further into the field, I'm waiting for you for the sacrifice ritual.
Gabriel: what sacrifice in the world of Candyland? are you going to chop up chocolate bars?
Crowley: got to do something in this candy hell. who came up with this nonsense?
Jack: I like it.
Michael: I don't get it.
Adam: just keep playing, darling, you'll figure it out as you go along.
Dean: are they even aware that this is not how Candyland is played?
Sam: i don't think so.
Dean: playing poker?
Sam: playing poker.
Ward: I can't believe it. I'm an agent of a secret organization, I've been specially trained and educated, I'm the best in the course. How this could happen, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW.
FitzSimmons: what's wrong with him??
Daisy: he lost to me in a sea battle.
Gabriel: who is your spirit animal?
Castiel: bees.
Dean: raccoon.
Sam: dog.
Adam: Michael.
Sam: honey, i'm home. what are we having for dinner?
Gabriel: oh, pancakes with strawberry syrup, chocolate cake, milkshakes, cheesecake, eclairs, crème brûlée and marzipan cakes.
Sam:
Gabriel:
Sam: okay, honey
Cas: I'm an angel. I have to fight demons. I'm an angel. I have to-
Meg:
Cas: fuck.
Cas: I don't even like demons. I kill demons. They're hellish creatures, I have to destroy them.
Meg bursts into the room with disheveled hair and a murderous look and puts a knife to Cas's neck:
Cas: Isn't she adorable??
Cas: I am an Angel of the Lord. I don't take orders from anyone else.
Meg: Give me the ice cream.
Cas: Sure, darling.
Jack: I love biscuits.
Cas: I love sandwiches.
Dean: I love burgers.
Gabriel: I love Sam.
Sam: I love--wait WHAT
who killed Tatum Riley?
Billy
Stu
I've seen different theories, each with its own evidence: most believe that Billy, but for Stu it was a very personal murder, and both were nearby.
don't you think that if Alexis was older, she and Ryan could have had a good relationship (friendly or romantic - doesn't matter). not that they were enemies in the series, but I didn't have enough of their interaction. both have chaotic personalities around them (Castle and Esposito) that need to be contained, both are a bit out of place because of their friendliness, both are sensitive and very kind. i think they would get along great.
