My favourite thing about Villanelle and Eve‘s story is that they not only meet before they actively know about one another but that they BOTH pause for a second. Take each other in and acknowledge that the other is …something. They both have a moment of „Oh. She. She is interesting“. It’s just for a minute and it’s the most normal, run of the mill encounter and yet… yet it is so intense.

It would’ve been so easy to say that their chemistry and their attraction to one another is just based on pure adrenaline: the thrill of the chase, the heat of the moments.

But this very first moment shows that it goes deeper than that; that even before there is any sort of situational tension… do they have a fascination with one another. Tension. Pure chemistry.

I really enjoyed and admired how in TVL Eric managed to make it so readable that Daniel wanted to be angry at Armand, but his heart was never really in it lol. Like, he was giving “Fuck you, but actually come closer and kiss me” vibes basically the entire time. It was really funny and endearing.

You literally could not pay me to care about anything anyone on Twitter thinks about anything but especially what they think about Devil’s Minion. I cannot fathom why mean comments about them would bother a single person.

Oh their five seconds of screen time were distracting? Good. Guess what? It’s going to be so much worse when we reach the season that actually features them as a couple. They weren’t even meant to be in this one, this was just a teaser for what’s the come.

I’m so sorry that there are so many people who still do not seem to grasp that this is a Vampire Chronicles adaptation and that Armand is one of the most prominent characters in the Vampire Chronicles and that Daniel is his most significant companion. I’m sorry these same people still seem to think they’re watching a regular romance series about two characters and that everything else happening is taking away from that, but there is an actual plot happening and it’s not just about one couple.

Let them be annoyed. Who the hell cares? They are consciously choosing to repeatedly engage with a tv show that irritates them. Think about how strange that is rather than letting it get to you. Devil’s Minion has been massively popular for forty years. That’s longer than a lot of these people have even been alive. Nothing about this matters in the slightest.
