A little about me!

I have always loved illustration and art ever since I was a wee child in elementary school (currently approaching my mid-twenties). Drawing has been a life long passion of mine that has stuck with me throughout the years. If you take a look through the past posts of my blog, you’ll notice the things I love to draw is women, creatures, and artworks that utilize texture and the color purple (one of my faves).

Miscellaneous Info

I love a lot of styles, but recently I’ve really been digging the punk, grunge, and mushroom core aesthetics. I personally LOVE art that has a lot of texture and bold thick line work (which is what I try to emulate.) Along with that, I absolutely love hard rock and metal bands; Three Days Grace and System Of A Down are two of my top bands.

I also recently graduated with my bachelor’s of liberal arts specializing in graphic design (another passion of mine) :))

I am a very shy person when it comes to social media, but I’ve been trying to make the effort to post my stuff out there to hopefully build up my confidence!

Hey guys! It’s been a while… today I bring you a redrawing of a piece I first made like 10 years ago. Every so often, I’ve redrawn it to see how much I have progressed. Overall, I do have to say it’s a major improvement. Especially, when comparing it to the original 2015 version.

Guess there’s no more being “A part of your world”…

but for real, this piece took me such a long time to work on. The textures killed me. Overall it came out alright, I am satisfied with the outcome. I really have been enjoy in doing a more textured style of rendering.

If you’re curious about the backstory…

So in mine and my friend’s shared story lore, if a mermaid gets their tail cut off any wish you could possibly dream of can come true. In order to save the world from chaos brought by my bestie’s OC Caden, my OC Nixie sacrificed herself. Her pirate boyfriend, Vincent, grips her lifeless body in dismay.

I illustrated a poster for one of my favorite Pixar movies Ratatouille!

Above is the initial sketch and speed paint video of my process. I used Photoshop for the type.

I did my own illustrative interpretation of the classic One-X album cover by Three Days Grace. I absolutely love this album. It makes me nostalgic for my youth in listening to "edgy" music and thinking I was sooo cool. My favorite song on the album is Get Out Alive.

Hidden in my interpretation is the original album cover :)) I also drew this weird creature as a representation of what I was feeling as I listened to the album. Above is the original sketch and below is the speedpaint.

Highly recommend this album if you like somber "edgy" alt-rock kinda music.
