Slugcat societal tidbits
"going out to get milk" is a common turn of phrase used to describe a man abandoning his family.
the "milkman" is a common figure in stories depicting a woman's infidelity and adulterous affair.
this implies that the ability to provide milk would both decrease the likelihood of a man abandoning his wife and children, as it would eliminate the need for leaving to get milk AND would secure that man's marriage, as his wife would have no need to seek milk from an extraneous source.
therefore, all men should produce milk, through various means such as:
- being a cow
- being an almond
- being a woman
- being a coconut
- being in the omegaverse
- being an oat
(list is exemplary and not finite)
in this essay, i will redefine the nuclear family and explain the seductive and inflammatory nature of the 1993 "Got Milk?" commercials.
functionally suicidal character saying “I would die for you” to their significant other and its like. I get the sentiment, honey, but if a hot dog vendor told me he’d sell hot dogs for me, I wouldn’t feel very moved now would I
Now a functionally suicidal character saying “I will live for you”. Now that’s a dynamic I can sink my teeth into.
now how about a functionally suicidal character saying "I will sell hot dogs for you"
Hotdog vender lays down their life to protect their suicidal partner, who then takes over the hotdog stand to carry on their memory...
just watched the among us show its among us show. i like that everyone is nonbinary. i like that theyre constantly fucking
Anemone song
Happy 9th birthday to Anemone song
avid really said he made a character that wasnt traumatized for once and then bf avids actual lore was that theyre horribly in debt to and forced to work for a guy theyre obviously scared of and they havent been allowed to go home and see their family in like 5-10 years. brother i think you got KIDNAPPED. post canon fucker goes home and their family thinks theyre seeing a goddamn Ghost avid your character is a missing persons case
I just got. The single funniest dm I've ever received in my entire life
Characters in media fighting back against the mind control:
Hi rozu :D can you draw Shelby and avid? I love them so much in your style <3
AU where Avid escapes the murder attempt at the crypt
been seeing some v!scott takes that pmo lately
random vsmp lore details i find amusing:
Gnarpys are canon (Pyro e1)
"Zombies" are just rabies victims and rabies canonically causes green skin (Leg's POV, multiple episodes)
Avid and Elle invented zombie villager curing (Multiple POVs, unfortunately cant find/recall what episode)
Avid's piercing (Multiple POVs/Avid episodes, mostly e3)
Fanfiction is a defined literary concept in the year [Ambiguously late 1800s] (Shelby POV/others, multiple episodes)
Twilight not only exists in book form in [Ambiguously late 1800s], but also has play adaptations. (Pyro e5)
Pyro had a pig plushie as a child (Owen e7)
Owen doesn't know what guns/bayonets are despite guns presumably existing circa 1600 when he would have been turned. (Owen e8) (Possible consequence of Owen having never been outside of Oakhurst? Maybe Oakhurst didn't have guns in Louis' time. Good for Oakhurst.)
The timeskip New York map has a 9/11 memorial but also both of the towers... Abolish stopped 9/11....
Scott dyed his hair bright blue only a few days before he was turned (Multiple POVs, multiple episodes). Which would have been at least 1500 years before 1800. Aka the year 300 CE. Which actually could have been plausible since the history of hair bleaching and dyeing goes back to BCE, including European records describing hair bleaching in approximately 60-30 BCE. I'd say idk how he got bright blue though but given Minecraft dyes that actually seems perfectly reasonable.
I think that Scott Goldsmith being a little bit of a loser is important to his character. First person who ever unconditionally loved him is his ex-enemy of a man going through his bisexual awakening and a manic episode? After 500~ years alive?? No one from his coven tried to save him from his 600 year long entombment despite being "friends" of his? Made friends with one singular actually nice person (Shelby) and stays glued to her side for 200 years? Get it together man lol
A chemist walks into a bar and orders some h20. Her friend says "oh haha, I'll have some h202". The bartender comes out and she goes "you used a zero instead of an O there."
And then yup, you guessed it: werewolf surgery
episode two, how we feeling
"What would Scott and Owen do?"
This was funnier in my head
They need to be kissing more tbh
