An X-Files stitch for a former roommate! This was a blast to stitch and was my first time using hand-dyed aida.

Avoiding a (very late) wedding stitch by picking this project back up.
Rest in Peace my puppy brother. Now to wash and frame before Christmas.

Everything but the wording done!
Sure that knot in your thread is probably just a slip knot and one good tug would unravel it, but are you really willing to test that theory?
Gave him highlights! Wanted to get more done tonight but am exhausted.
One or two more sessions and this cutie should be complete! I'm glad to get all the tiny sections out of the way, I hate having to rethread for only a few stitches.
ⓘ Tip: while sewing, you can unlock scary sewing by losing your needle somewhere on your bed.
My sister and I used to do most of our stitching in bed. When we lost a needle, it was tradition to sing an altered version of Shawn Mendes' Stitches:
Needle in the bed gotta get you out of my head
Needle in the bed gonna wind up dead
Stitching on this fabric is a breeze. If it can stay that way this should be a pretty quick project.
Turning my attention towards another long abandoned wip! This is going to be a memorial stitch for my parents chocolate lab.
I miss her like a shitty ex who despite all her flaws was still always there when i needed her but now she's dead (joann fabrics)
Sent my husband to Michael's the other day to get a DMC color I was missing and they were completely out of it. Please come back Joanns!
A gumball machine ornament for a friend who collects them.

A cross stitch interpretation of an old Germanic tale for a Germanic Mythology course in 2019. Can't remember the name of the story now, but to the left is a man who was arrested, feathered, and stuck in a sack (I believe the green thing in his ear caused him to sleep). He had wanted to kidnap/marry the beautiful Queen Olaf (right) who was not a fan of that idea, hence his current state. If anyone knows what tale this is from let me know!
Pattern: None.
Update: I did some more searching and figured out the source text. It's the Hrólf Kraki saga and to the left is Helgi (Halga) and to the right is the Saxon Queen Oluf.

Is the cross stitch section of Tumblr still active? Unsure if I should start posting here again. Drop a like/reblog/comment if you're an active blog, would love to find some new people to follow!
