Merry crossover-Christmas, everyone!!
So before he was a movie critic, “movie critic cell” worked at a smoothie shop. A complete meme on his canon ability to turn people into smoothies, yes. He actually worked at Smoothies Of Tomorrow for quite awhile. Then one day he saw a movie and decided to blog his interpretation and review online, and it went viral.
Ask Me Anything!!
This Mega Crossover Project has been in the works for goddamn years now. Ask me anything, and you shall receive answers.
Working on the Mega Crossover Project (which is what this blog wil ultimately be about) has taught me much about worldbuilding.
Grafting together distinct worlds and combining their features into a cohesive one works wonders for teaching you how to make your ideas work, despite the odds.
Worldbuilding is fluid. If you like an idea, you can make it work. A conceptual darling need not be killed, only tweaked and workshopped.
There is wonder in organized chaos.

The city that Cell wandered into is actually the capital city of the main continent of this world!! All of the main demonslayer stuff actually takes place on a different continent across the sea, and the different continents don’t really contact each other
I GOTTA talk more about my special boy Imperfect Cell. In this universe:
- The machine giving him instructions on how to take over the world kinda… broke. So he woke up with no idea of what he was supposed to be doing
- He wandered over to a nearby city and just plopped himself down there.
- He wound up working at a smoothie shop for a bit (for irony’s sake)
- One day he wrote up a review of a movie online. It went viral, which is how he became a famous movie critic.
- He can and sometimes will drink smoothies with his tail
Imperfect Cell is one of my favorite special little guys because in this AU he’s just a Movie Critic. No evil plans. No eating people. Just a little guy that reviews movies and wears cool sunglasses.
Why Demonslayer Crossovers Are Underrated
We all know and like the cute little role-swap pieces where familiar characters from other franchises are placed into the roles of Tanjiro and the gang, or even the Hashira, based on similar personalities. Or color palette.
But I think we can go a little deeper than that: what happens when we cross Kimetsu No Yaiba with words that add entirely new species? Entirely new abilities?
Breathing techniques are already highly adaptable in canon. Adding extra non-human abilities only increases potential for what a breath style could look like. How would a creature with telekinetic abilities combine this power with a breath style? They could even create a new one based upon that unique ability.
Species also calls fighting style into question. How would a dragon wield a Nicherin weapon? How would their aerial abilities or natural weapons influence combat?
With demons, it gets even more exciting. You know what’s exciting? Dragon Demons. How does an already empowered beast enhance this power with a Blood-Demon art? How does the Blood-Demon art amplify what they already are? How does their physiology change due to their demonic qualities?
Of course, how do both the Hashira and the Demons go about fighting each other? (Dragon Hashira vs Dragon Demon, anybody?)
Senshihane Family Photo
Featuring baby Kibayon (AW!!!) and their two moms, Umeko (the zubat woman) and Saah'zu (the githyanki woman.) Kibayon's a Githyanki-Zubat hybrid, inheriting the body and spots of a Gith and the wings, face, and tails of a Zubat. To answer the obvious, yes: these two species are biologically incompatible to produce a child through conventional means. However, since hybrid couples are commonplace in this world, so is the technology to create an offspring by taking DNA from both parents and configuring it into an arrangement that will produce a healthy offspring.
Imagine being a tiefling and getting turned into one of Muzan’s ranks. A fucking Demon-Demon.
Hey you guys ever wonder what would happen if Bill Cipher possesses a cat???
Muzan’s chosen ranks are going to be a lot larger and more complex in this crossover just for the sake of variety. There’s so much
potential with all the brand new species involved.
Not sure yet just how many demons the upper/lower moons will consist of! But I have a few alternative roles in mind that will be mostly kept off the field.
One such are the ‘Encoders,’ who’s blood demon arts allow them to transcribe Muzan’s DNA into other forms, such as codes or runes. They’re integral to creating demons out of creatures that do not have blood, or are otherwise far too biologically compatible to be receptive to normal transfusion.
For example, a Monster (Undertale) has a body made of magic. Blood transfusion would be impossible. The Rune Encoder can transcribe Muzan’s genetic information from DNA to magic runes which can affect the magic which makes up the body of certain creatures. Making Demons possible in these species.
As for mechanical beings, such as a Drone (Murderdrones,) there is a different Encoder that can transform Muzan’s DNA into code that can be utilized by computers. However, a little more augmentation typically goes into this. Most machines cannot create new components alone, out of their own bodies. This renders them unable to transform, and unable to regenerate. However, in the case of the Disassembly Drones, whose solver code allows for regeneration, they make the perfect candidate for mechanical Demons. However, Muzan’s dna code and the Solver Code can get a little funky when used together.
“Is My Phantump Neighbor A Dead Child??” And other burning questions.
As previously mentioned, in the Mega Crossover Project, Pokémon are anthropomorphized/sapient, and live equal to and like humans or any other sapient species. This calls a few things into question, however. ESPECIALLY regarding several Pokémon origins:
Do sapient Phatumps come from the spirits of dead kids??
Is your Banette coworker a haunted child doll, and should you insensitively ask about their tragic backstory??
Is your Weezing buddy a consequence of poor sanitary procedures???
The answer to all of these is no. And here is why:
In this world’s lore, Arceus was the creator god of Pokémon. He created the first Pokémon, and it is by their power alone that Spontaneous Generation could occur in the mentioned situations and create new Pokémon.
When the Pokémon evolved towards sapience, Arceus relinquished their guardianship over them, meaning all modern sapient Pokémon are the result of natural reproduction, and not spontaneous generation.
Technically, feral Pokémon do still exist in certain parts of the world. Arceus still has guardianship over these populations, and spontaneous generation will occur within them. But this is no longer the case for the evolved sapients.

Rationalizing The Minecraft XP System (and other experience-based magics.)
Rpg and other game-mechanics can throw a wrench into storytelling by punching immersion-threatening hole into the worldbuilding. This can be especially bothersome if you are writing in a serious or dark tone, or working with a crossover.
With a little creativity, it’s relatively easy to fix this problem.
The Minecraft enchantment system works off of experience obtained from mining, hunting, farming, and other experiences. The points earned in your XP bar are combined with Lapis Lazuli, and used to enchant items, as the game’s primary enchanting method. From a mechanic standpoint, this is very sound. But how do we explain this XP system in a narrative view?
Using Lapis as a focus, or an already enchanted manuscript (in the instance of using an anvil,) enchanting can be performed with the sheer power of lived experiences and knowledge gained. The memories themself, or perhaps the connections of neurons formed when learning, produce energy channeled into enchanting. However, these memories can only be used for energy once. Perhaps the energy formed upon the new neuron connection is all the power that memory will ever make, or perhaps the memories are lost and forgotten once they are used to enchant.
Books, the written memories and experiences of other people, interact with this magic system by boosting the power of an enchanting table. By being immortalized knowledge, they inherently strengthen the potential of experience magic.
