i generally don't mind Zelink but it's the way with Every Single Link Incarnation people will try to pair him with Zelda no matter how much chemistry they actually have in their respective games. furthermore, i'd get proper shot dead if they found out i like Link x Ilia more than Zelink
No, but for real though! There are a couple of games where I'm like, yeah, Link and Zelda are a good ship, but for a lot of them they just aren't! Twilight Princess is a big no for me, Link sees her maybe twice before the end of the game? And both times man's a wolf, so he can't even talk to her!! And don't get me started on Ocarina of Time with that Zelink. You actually have one canon conversation with her before shit goes down. Like, c'mon! Pulling at threads there.
Love me some BOTW/TOTK and Skyward Sword Zelink ships though. That's the good stuff right there.
You know what annoys me about some parts of the Dragon Age fandom? How many people praise DA:I as being such a great game, and why Veilguard couldn't be more like Inquisition. It always gets me so confused because...did we play the same game? Inquisition, from many standpoints, is the WORST Dragon Age game!! I still love it, but of the four it is objectively not as good!!! It's full of glitches, combat is clunky, many gameplay and story decisions don't make sense, character interactions are bland, companion side quests are random and lacking in both depth and content, and hold little to no relevance to the story, and have little to no consequences if not completed. The maps are needlessly large, very empty, and have so many silly, time wasting side quests that are tedious to complete and give very little in the way of rewards. Corephy boy falls flat as a villain, he has a great introduction but such poor follow through, and fails to stand as a viable and driven threat throughout the game. If you don't like Veilguard, fine, that's your opinion and you are entitled to it, but saying Inquisition, of all the Dragon Age games, is the BEST of the series, is objectively just in bad taste. It was the best looking, before Veilguard, but that was ALL it was winning. Besides gameplay length, as it's content was padded out by enormous maps.
Y'all ever think about the way video game bosses are designed to lose? How the bombastic soundtracks, the impressive displays of villainy, the teeth-rattling power of their attacks, are at once engineered not just to sell you on how unfathomably strong and vile they are, but also to make the player's inevitable victory all the sweeter?
Viewed this way, a boss battle is more like a choreographed dance - they call, you respond and counter-call. The trick is to learn the steps - once you know where to move, when to strike, when to defend and how to best allocate your resources, victory is not just achievable but actually almost impossible to avoid. You cannot help but recite the winning plays, over and again, because that is what the dance demands of you both - and is there not a savage sort of beauty in such a thing?
Is it any wonder then that we look back on these bosses so fondly, almost as if they were old friends? We danced together once, and oh what fun we had while doing it!
It's so poetic, tragic and triumphant all at once. Someone born to lose it all, and someone made to stand victorious.

Lucanace
As an ace person it's so, so funny seeing people trying to figure Lucanis out. He's ace. He's gonna have a whole list of things on his priority list above sex. Coffee, his work, the Lighthouse, cooking, quality time with Rook, time in Treviso, all the pressures of his station with the crows, Spite.
He isn't naïve though, that's important. It really grinds my gears when people think that because ace people- doubly so virgins- haven't experienced anything like that that we don't know anything about it. He knows well enough. He's just, for the most part, not interested. It's forming a friendship with Rook that allows him to build a sexual relationship and romance with them, being demi- and it's why you can't romance him if you don't save his city.
He's a flirt and a member of the smutty ace club. It doesn't mean he's interested in sex (except with Rook) and I wish people would understand that the way he engages with sex- or doesn't- is part of his character, not a flaw in the writing.
I also understand some people are mad that the hot assassin is the ace one... sorry. We can be hot too.
Lucanis' aceness is really, really important. And I'm really glad he's one of ours.
“then why do you draw, fujino?”
What if we return to the ruins of Skyhold in Dragon Age: The Veilguard and the DAI main theme plays in minor key, what then?
OK so I didn't do minor key but this is a sketchup of a piano arrangement because I tried to do full instruments and I got too caught up in that and needed to pare it back to basics before actually orchestrating it.
Update: I'm depressed and yearning and I'm making it everybody else's problem.
it's beautiful 💔 and it broke me
