Personal work...
Lately... I enjoy the way I feel about myself. For me, art is a form of expressing emotions and not about having an actual finished piece that is read as an object, valued in foreigners eyes. Art is an experience. If I find that people can feel something when they see my illustration, my work as an artist was a success.
Been doing things on traditional media lately.
Just a sketch.
The end of the year. Sketch.
I wish long hair would look that awesome on me, fortunatly I can paint myself <3
This is a year old study, it's not as polished as I would like but the idea behind this was to try textures and obtain the colors in an "impressionist way".
Another color practise. Originally it was monotone, so I decided to try a contrast in hue, warm/cold. Being this time the warm color the one making the shadow. Normally I would think that only cold colors "retrocede".
Next step should be looking for nice poses and silhouettes
weird light on this one… but, as i am learning to paint more realistic and expressive faces, this time the goal was achieving volume using different saturation and hue but keep value almost the same, and painting the background simple so the detailed parts would pop out. I think i kinda got it but i am always open to critiques.
some sketches and speed paints done for Pleinapril 2021. My objective was to try different colors on lights and shadows, also study the depth of field of Landscapes, which is something I really owe to myself. I didn't take any risk on composition, though..
a capybara surrounded by some flowers, most of them native to Argentina’s landscape.
Procreate, 2020.
some sketches and portraits done in Procreate at the beginning of the year :’)
Me on mondays. And tuesdays. Wednesday too...
Autorretrato con el zorzal colorado que me visita todas las mañanas.
One of the illustrations done for a game called “Carpincho Voluntario” (Volunteer capybara), created during a Arde el Delta Game Jam. Argentina’s lands are being set on fire... You can play it here: https://crysanthema.itch.io/carpincho-voluntario (Spanish only)
Finally finished this loop yesterday. I had this idea in mind and I wanted to do it with papers and stop motion technique, but finally done digitally on Krita. i mixed frame by frame with digitall stop motion.
A little homage to the original inhabitants of the north of the country i live now. The Incas’ culture is amazing and really beautiful and wish they would get the right exposure they deserve…
