Regarding The PPT Shipping & Aging Controversy (AgainâŚ.)
Hey guys, itâs me again, back with another post regarding to the ongoing aging / shipping controversy in the Poppy Playtime community/fandom. And let me be VERY clear here, I understand that there are legit people who ships minors with adults. I donât NOT condone that and I find it very disgusting. I believe these people should be held accountable and should face the consequences of their actions, BUT, it is CLEAR to me that that is NOT whatâs happening here.
A few of the artists/writers part of the PPT community have come to me asking for help regarding BatStreak, who seems to continue attacking and sending her followers to harass, bully, and threaten those she deems as âpredatorsâ (basically acting as a judge, jury, and executioner). As much as I would love to help everyone, unfortunately I cannot. The best I can do is make posts, but I canât contact her (she blocked me) nor contact Mob to do anything about the situation. You can make posts or Google Docs defending yourself, but unfortunately that can only get you so far and wonât stop the oncoming horde that is BatStreak and her followers (and anyone like her). I know that the accusations are very serious and can cause severe real-time consequences and damage to innocent people, but aside from defending yourselves, thereâs not much you can do aside from just blocking, ignoring, moving on, and being with the people that support you. The reality is that unless real harm happens to someone because of her and others like her, Mob steps in and says something, or she turns out to be worse, then thereâs nothing that can stop this.
You can make the posts/Docs defending yourself, but I highly recommend to just block, maybe even go private and donât engage because itâs clearly that engaging gives her and others like her ammunition.
I have been told that BatStreak is a massive hypocrite and allegedly has friends who ship a minor OC with him and have Prototype porn fics in their public bookmarks on AO3. I cannot confirm the former, but I have checked the latter and donât see anything other than two PPT fanfics. So unless they made those private or deleted them, I cannot confirm whether or not the latter is true. Some say itâs her way of hunting people down, but itâs all speculation and I cannot comment on these things. If anyone has any evidence, feel free to drop it below or quote-repost this post.
Another thing I became aware of is that someone within Mob Entertainment stated on Discord that the toys are adults. This is what the person allegedly said (whoâs a woman, by the way): âI can only speak for my role as X. Iâm not involved in Y, and I understand why people donât want ship content in the server, but ultimately the toys have aged, just emotionally stunted.â She basically said the same thing as the original creator Isaac said, except she didnât retract anything. But basically, the toys arenât canonically children forever; they age mentally (though in a severely traumatic way)ânot fully adult or child.
Now, I donât know who the person is or where the alleged screenshots are, but if true, then it proves that not everyone at Mob Entertainment has the same belief system, meaning not everyone there believes that the toys are children forever. I would blame Mob Entertainment for not coming out with this publicly nor in game due to fear, as well as blame the people who love to act like the morality police and think theyâre holier than thou for creating such a hostile environment for everyone, including children. In fact, you have to be a very questionable and sick individual to assume everything equates to a child because that is not normal and certainly not a healthy mindset. Itâs kind of like how they think adult women who look youthful, short and petite (like me) are equivalent to children. Iâm sorry, but that seems very suspicious and obsessive to me, highly offensive, infantilizing, and like projection.
And the fact that Batstreak along with many others like her block and delete comments from everyone trying to correct or stop her, including those who are children themselves as well as those who were groomed, sexually assaulted, and bullied, and do nothing about helping actual children and stopping actual predators proves that it has nothing to do with protecting children and that these people do not care about the principle of innocent until proven guilty nor about peopleâs mental health and wellbeing. Itâs very clear to me that sheâs doing this out of nefarious motives and that really disgusts me. Thereâs absolutely no reason to do this unless something is wrong with you or you have a twisted motive.
Falsely accusing people as well as LYING about them doing something when theyâre clearly not who are clearly against predators or were victims of predators themselves of something so serious without any evidence whatsoever just because their headcanons, AUs, or beliefs differ from yours is not only disgusting but will get someone seriously hurt or worse. We already have an artist who has gone MIA and hasnât been active on X since April because of her, her followers, and others like her, and no one knows how this person is doing. I pray to God that theyâre doing okay, but this whole situation is becoming very worrisome and Mob Entertainment is going to get dragged into it if something very serious happens to someone. I was blocked by BatStreak and other people like her for calling them out, even though I literally have âPedos, Lolicons, Shotacons, etc. do not interactâ on my DNI list in my pinned post. That should tell you a lot about these people.
So, with all of that being said, you are free to defend yourself, but when dealing with someone as big (and even as dangerous) as her, I highly recommend blocking, ignoring, moving on, being with the people that support you, and not engaging because thatâs what they wantâattention and ammunition. It sucks and I know it even sucks to be blocked and accused by people you love, supported and look up to, but thatâs just how it is. And if youâre someone new who loves Poppy Playtime and is considering joining the fandom, I would highly recommend that you donât, especially if youâre a child because if they can do this to adults, then they can most definitely do this to a child who believes that the toys are adults. In fact, you donât need to join a fandom or community to enjoy something and meet other like-minded fans. I know it sucks to hear this, but trust me, for your sanity and wellbeing, itâs for the best. This fandom is just as bad as The Amazing Digital Circus and other similar fandoms and communities. Itâs just not worth it in my opinion.
