So I saw a post on @werenotyellingwerecubans about #CubanCoffee and I got inspired to show you guys how I make it. 1) your tools; make sure to use a soup spoon and a glass/transparent measuring cup. You can also use the mug instead you will drink this from. And don't forget the most important thing: MUSIC 🎶 to give it more #SABOR (I have a playist if you're interested 😉) 2) water to about that level, pack coffee LIGHTLY. If you put too much pressure it will change the flavor. 3) the lowest heat possible (for maximum flavor 🤤). 4) just a spoonful of #AZUCAAA ... and then some 🤣 if it doesn't look like a tiny mountain, it's not enough. 5) you gotta grab the very first coffee that comes out; it has the strongest flavor. BELIEVE ME if you don't, it tastes different. 6) you gotta beat it until your arm hurts, rest for 10 seconds, then keep beating it until your arm falls off or it's almost white. The lighter the color, the more foam you will have in the end. 7) "Good things come to those who wait". The heat will slowly work its way through the sugar and release the foam. For today's #CreativeChallenge I made the #SPIRAL of #AzamiKurotani from #JunjiIto 's #Uzumaki 🐚👁 This was a request from @y0s0l 😁 I haven't had the pleasure of reading THIS story from Junji Ito, but I LOOOOVE his style. I love the creepy & scary stories he makes. And the illustrations to match 🤩 The first story of his I ever read was #Gyo and it traumatized me in high school 🤣 But I remember just being so entranced by it and you couldn't help but keep reading even if you were so scared/creeped out. He also has a GREAT use of the page-turn effect that is really hard to translate to other visual mediums. I highly recommend his work and I know I'm not the only one 😁 Let me know if you have any requests or ideas. For today's #CreativeChallenge I made one of my favorite paintings from #RenéMagritte It's called "La Trahison des Images" (The Treachery of Inages) also known as "This is Not a Pipe", as it says on the painting. Basically it means: this is not a pipe because this is a PAINTING of a pipe 🤣🤣🤣 It's one of my favorite jokes in art. I'm open to hear suggestions, ideas, concepts...Let me hear a bit from you 😊 And thank you, seriously, for all the love you guys have showered me with. For my #CreativeChallenge of the day, I did one of the hands of the #PaleMan from @realgdt 's #PansLabyrinth 👁 The original was made by the A-MA-ZING DDT Efectos Especiales supervised by @daviddtsfx & @montseddt 🤩😍🤩😍🤩 (mis heroes 💖) I don't have or know how to use or make prosthetics (although I REEEEALLY want to learn), so I painted it as best I could. For today's #CreativeChallenge, the rest of the guys took a break so I decided to do a request. I was asked to do a piece inspired by #AUTISM 🧩 I didn't want to do the ribbon. But I I found out that that blue jigsaws are also one of the symbols. I tried to make it look like my skin was made by a bunch of jigsaws. 2nd day of our #CreativeChallenge weekend, #SpecialFX edition. I tried to give myself a #BrokenNose 👃 Again, don't worry, it's just paint 🙂 I've never had my nose broken and when I was researching, I found this picture and I kinda liked the idea of doing big bruises. Somehow in the end, with how the paint ended up, it looked like I actually had a slightly crooked/cracked nasal bone (which is great 😅). I was VERY surprised, to say the least, with just how many people sent me messages yesterday asking me if I was ok, if they needed to go beat up somebody, "this is makeup, right?!", etc. I'd never tried any sort of Special FX, so I was very flattered by people's responses. This weekend's #CreativeChallenge is #SpecialFX and so I gave myself a #BlackEye Don't worry, it's just paint 😅 One of the things I'd love to learn, when we can all roam around the earth again freely, is how to use various materials that are used for special fx; such as liquid latex and silicone. The #CreativeChallenge of the day is #BROWN so I turned myself into a tree 🌲🤣🌳 I hadn't tried painting my hand before so this was an interesting and educative experience.
