How does Cameron Dallas win Choice Male Web Star at the Teen Choice Awards against Joey Graceffa, Tyler Oakley, Ryan Higa and Pewdiepie? Joey, Tyler, Ryan and Felix have all done some incredible things and have put meaningful content into the Internet. Joey has discussed many of his past struggles in an effort to make sure others know they aren’t alone and has written his own book. Tyler also written his own book about his past and has done an abundance of charity work (not because he has to, because he chooses to). Ryan makes quality and creative content that he puts an insane amount of time and money into. And Felix is the biggest person on YouTube right now and is an amazing business man that many people should look up to in that sense, regardless if you enjoy his content or not. What has Cameron Dallas done or put onto the Internet to give him the title of “Choice Web Star” besides post a video of him getting arrested while being rude to a cop or six second clips of him trying to grind on the floor with his shirt off? I’m honestly so disappointed that the representation of #TeamInternet is going to now be seen as this kid making six second clips on Vine instead of other hard working and genuine people who had a passion, found a platform and went for it. Things like this are why Internet stars don’t get taken seriously.
