A sideblog for video game screenshots. I'll always be a God Eater fan even if I rarely talk about the series now. I've completed organizing a space to archive Tales of Luminaria references on this blog! Please check out the Luminaria Archive Tags! I was very much a beginning player, though, so it really won't be much. But I hope all fans can find whatever references they're looking for, even if it may not be here!
*Since this is a pinned post now, I feel obligated to clean it up (October 5, 2022)
I basically wanted to keep a collection of references for outfits, recipes, locations, miscellaneous observations, miscellaneous voice work, differences between the EN and JP audio, localization notes, etc. Mainly a lot of stuff that people probably wouldn’t normally think to keep a record of as well as things that people won’t be able to see/experience anymore when the game shut down.
Found out I couldn’t edit the original post when I reblogged this, so I’m reblogging it again with an updated addendum to make a better pinned post (October 10, 2022)
Thanks again to anyone who expressed interest in the archive! Since we’ve all got a better idea of what goes in these tags now, though, it’s never too late for other Luminaria fans to also add their own screenshots and video clips. Archives don’t have a deadline! And you never know what kind of references people could be looking for!
This is literally the EN Luminaria fandom archive tumblr version of this JP Luminaria fandom archive twitter tag. Different language fandoms think alike sometimes, huh? It’s awesome! I apologize to anyone who thought I might’ve been making some sort of downloadable archive; I can’t even operate the wayback machine (I only took a few screenshots of the game’s official website before it shut down)
I am WOEFULLY underequipped to make any kind of downloadable archive.
I didn’t want to spam the Tales of Luminaria tag with my screenshots/video clips because I think that tag should be used to share official news, fanmade content, discussions, etc. So I made the luminaria archive tags as a space to freely deposit any kind of miscellaneous reference that you can’t easily find anywhere on the internet.
Miscellaneous voice work is still voice work. Miscellaneous game icons, buttons, textures, effects, etc. is still art work. Things like the terminology section, action guide, chronology, etc. is still written work. I wanted to preserve what I could, things people wouldn’t usually think to preserve, in a way that I can easily organize. Even if it’s not much, I hope other fans find the references they’re looking for too.
And yeah, there’s other social media I could’ve put this on too, but I picked tumblr for several reasons:
-I can make a tag index (even if tumblr screwed with it a lot...)
-unlike imgur, tumblr doesn’t delete images that haven’t been viewed at least once every six months to save space
-tumblr doesn’t usually delete my stuff without my express consent, but I’m speaking from my own personal experience. I don’t know if other users have had different experiences/problems
-tumblr actually flagged a post I had of Buzzswole, for some reason, but I was able to make an appeal, and the person reviewed and removed the flag pretty quickly too. Even if I randomly run into a content issue, it seems like it won’t turn into an impossible issue, at least
-I can post ten images per post (even if I did hit the arbitrary daily image upload limit a lot)
-I’m most comfortable using tumblr for this kinda thing
I also think that even if you’ve already posted your screenshots and video clips on other social media you’re more comfortable with, it’s probably a good idea to put it on tumblr too for the reasons I’ve mentioned. And it’s also just a good idea, in general, to upload your references wherever you can, so that it floats on the internet somewhere in case anything happens to the original place you put them in.
Until Bamco gets their official Luminaria Archive up and running on the Tales Channel PLUS website, all we have are user archives on twitter, youtube, tumblr, and reddit for references... And more references are always better than less!

If you live overseas, you'll need a proxy or forwarding service. For those of us who live in a certain hell country right now and have to deal with hell tariffs, I wish you the best. Times are hard, man...
Part 2 of my "Visiting as many of my friends' camps as I could before ACPC EoS" adventures
I never had much time to walk through my friends' campsites when the game was online since I was always working on HHA, special requests, inviting animals to my camp, etc.
I'm glad this was the last thing I did. It was so much fun!
If you’re a Tales Channel Plus member (signing up is free!), then you can add Leo’s card to your collection room after beating the card game within the specified period.
I burnt myself out thinking about how Luminaria's 2nd Anniversary was acknowledged this year. I wouldn't recommend clicking the readmore if I were you because if you didn't know that I was never really a positive person before...
They didn't even acknowledge Luminaria's 1st Anniversary last year... The only times they don't acknowledge a Tales Series game's anniversary is for games like Breaker or Commons, games that get so little acknowledgment that the fans are fully justified in thinking Bamco either forgot about them or are actively trying to bury them.
Every reason I could think of for them not acknowledging Lumi's 1st Anniversary just makes them look worse. "Maybe they just forgot?" How could they possibly forget? Both the fans and antis of the game would never let Bamco forget how quickly EoS was announced. "Maybe they didn't want to attract hate?" They already attract hate regardless.
"Maybe they thought that there was no point since the game wasn't online at the time?" They acknowledge anniversaries of Tales games regardless of whether or not they're EoS - Link, Asteria, Crestoria. They even acknowledge anniversaries of more divisive games that many fans consider a "failure" with very few exceptions.
"Maybe they were trying to bury it." Wouldn't be the first game they tried to do that with, but it'd piss me off regardless.
So when they acknowledged Lumi's 2nd anniversary, I was really happy to see it. Aoi qrted it, and another scenario writer was happy to see Luminaria trending. The anime directors, Midori and Shiori, reacted well to it too. They absolutely deserve to see that their work is still beloved and that it can be officially acknowledged.
But I just can't help but wonder...since Bamco is generally content with barely bringing up Luminaria at all...
...what made them change their mind this year?
What changed between last year and this year?
And whatever it was that changed, whatever it was that made them bother to put in some effort for once...can the fans keep it up until the day Lumi gets a revival or adaptation?
I bought all three sizes of Toto's TOF2023 mascot shirt in case anyone wanted size comparisons. I got it around the time the second wave of merch was selling, but by the time my merch reached me, all the TOF2023 merch wasn't for sale anymore hahaha
But now the shirt's on sale again apparently... Cool! If it's time-limited, I wish they'd say when the sales will close, though
I wonder if they'll ever properly format the EN version of Viva-kun's message on Luminaria's anniversary
Well, the global version of Tales Channel Plus's formatting probably isn't a priority all things considered. The company itself kinda needs a lot of work in general after all
On November 4, 2023 JST, Tales Channel Plus will only show Luminaria characters in the character card match mini-game (they do this for almost every Tales game in the series on the game's anniversary)
And I really wanted to record this since I couldn't do it last year!
My second set of merch arrived a long time ago, but I've been feeling burnt out lately, so it took this long to finally upload it all...
It's supposed to say "Flake Seal" because it's a set of stickers, but I got a "Freak Seal" typo instead. I wonder if other fans got the same typo too? The new Toto badge really does squish! It might be one of my favorite badges!
New merch is available for pre-orders on asobistore until 7/30/23 (JST)! Check the readmore for item descriptions and how to buy them!
You can use Buyee or Zenmarket for these!
TOF2023 Official Commemorative Toto Squishy Badge
TOF2023 Official Commemorative Toto Acrylic Charm - They recommend pairing this charm with one of the official character acrylic key chains from the English Garden collab. Since there's no Luminaria character acrylic key chains because they didn't invite any of the Luminaria character's JP VAs to Talesfes 2023, though, I won't be buying any of those to pair with the Toto charm
TOF2023 Official Commemorative Mascot Stickers - You get two sheets of 24 stickers of the Tales of Series mascots!
TOF2023 Official Commemorative Fine Graphic - Please look at and understand the measurements of this thing. This is a BIG and expensive framed key visual, and each of these comes with a unique serial number too. I wonder if it's gonna be difficult to ship?
This merch was previously only available on asobistore as limited time pre-orders as well as available for purchase at the physical Talesfes venue, but now it doesn't look there's a time limit to ordering them? It only says that they'll ship in September 2023?
You can use Buyee or Zenmarket to buy these!
TOF2023 Official Leo Key Visual Acrylic Keychain
TOF2023 Official Key Visual Trading Badge Type B - You have a 1/12 chance of rolling Leo's badge. I can't recommend physical merch gacha to overseas fans.
TOF2023 Official Key Visual Trading Badge Set B - You buy 12 random badges. I don't know what your odds are, but there's a chance you won't roll Leo, you do roll Leo, or you roll multiple Leos.
...I can add up to 30 photos in a tumblr post now?! Wow, I wish I had this feature back when I was uploading screenshots to my Luminaria archive... This is great!
Anyway, my official Talesfes 2023 Luminaria title merch and Toto mascot merch arrived a long time ago, but I finally got some time to upload all the close-ups of it today!
All of this merch was offered during two pre-order periods on asobistore and it was on sale at the physical Talesfes 2023 venue. Excluding the official Talesfes 2023 T-shirt (the one with all the titles on it), all of the merch featured in this post is currently on sale again!
Check out this previous post for how to buy them if you're an overseas fan and for links to the merch available. The merch will ship within 7-20 business days of your order (and they'll go to the JP warehouse first).
Oh yeah, I learned that if you buy merch in bulk like I do, then using the "add to Buyee" extension and using Buyee is cheaper! If you only buy 1-2 pieces of merch, then using Zenmarket is cheaper!
The Tales of Festival 2023 Key Visual Illustration was revealed! And Leo Fourcade makes an appearance between Kor Meteor and Velvet Crowe up on stage!
Fans also noticed that Leo’s getting an official key visual acrylic keychain available for preorder at the event venue here.
And Asobistore is accepting preorders for Tales of Festival 2023 merch from May 18, 2023 to May 28, 2023 (JST). The merch is the same as written and linked in this post, so if you didn’t get a chance to order merch from the last preorder period, then this is another opportunity!
Asobistore is accepting preorders for Tales of Festival 2023 merch from March 31, 2023 to April 9, 2023 (JST) Orders will be shipped in late May 2023! There’s a huge selection of merch from 24 Tales of Series titles, and this is Toto’s first official merch too!
Check out the readmore for how to buy, links to Luminaria’s merch, and some notes about the merch currently offered.
