Bucky secretly loves that the rest of the team feels comfortable enough to annoy him. He likes when John and Yelena are going at it and suddenly he hears “Right, Bucky? Tell him I am right and he is wrong!” or when Ava starts making fun of his cereal choice at the breakfast table. It makes him feel normal.

He loves that they listen to him and follow his orders (most of the time) because they respect him, not because they’re afraid of him. He’s not the Winter Soldier anymore, he’s just Bucky.

the dichotomy between The Winter Soldier theme music and "It's Bucky" from the Thunderbolts is so important to me. Like the first one is bone chilling, scary instrumentals, literal screams in the background. The second one isn't even threatening, it only feels hopeful and triumphant. It is such a good reflection of his healing and growth from being the Winter Soldier
