A comic about a boy and the demon he accidentally summons living together in a more magical and geographically inconsistent Philadelphia. An attempt to synthesize my love of Urban Fantasy and romance manga, but more queer friendly and less terrible relationship models, hopefully! I couldn’t be happier with how my cover screenprint came out! I’m finally really understanding how to design specifically for screenprinting, and the little tricks to make it all line up easier.

I love making objects that need to be handled to be fully enjoyed, but of course the flip side of this is they are very hard to convey through photos.

I did my best to show off the metallic silver ink at different angles, definitely click through the detail shots!

Tonight hopefully I can get them folded and stapled into comics! Trying to get ready for this art fair on Wednesday!!

DEMON PARTY SCREENPRINT AVAILABLE NOW!

Is it a staff meeting? After hours shindig? It’s all the demons from ‘Cubus hanging out and cutting loose.

A two color hand screenprint on French Paper Speckletone (a hefty cover weight paper with tiny flecks throughout) It’s 9.5" x 12.5" with a pretty sizable border if you wanted to cut it down a bit.

I’m so happy with how my thank you cards came out! The sheer metallic has such a great effect over the white/black/kraft paper. Can’t wait to explore this further for my cover!

THEY’RE BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!

I finally reprinted my Magic 101 minicomic! It’s a real pain to fold and assemble, so I was holding off, but it’s been out of stock for months, and I have access to a print studio for a limited time, so it was now or never!

The new version is still 4.5″ x 6″ and has the same great 12 black and white pages of magical infographic comic inside but now sports a Lisa Frank bright screenprinted cover! The cover is a two color split fountain print on French Paper Constructone 80lb cover stock.

Hiatus Apologies

Hey guys! If you're wondering about the recent lack of pages, I started taking a screenprinting course and it really ate up all my time. I thought I'd be able to do both, but apparently not. There's also the fact that I'm trying to make every single thing I possibly can while I have access to the studio there.

On the brightside, a lot of the work is/was 'Cubus related, so I'm going to post/reblog some of that here today!

Doing more test lino prints last night. I think I really got the hang of it by the last one-hatching really helps the effect I think. I also did that one with a firmer lino, which I definitely preferred.
