I’m probably going to take a break from posting art on here. I’ve been stuck in a downward spiral for a while with my art, to put it lightly I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my perception of my self worth, trouble that is best left discussed in a therapists office. I’ve found that posting my art online feeds into my growing doubts, if a piece of artwork I make “flops” I push myself to work harder, if a piece of art is generally liked the feeling of accomplishment is quickly drowned out by the thoughts of “ok you just need to do that again” or “make sure to maintain this level of quality in the future”. I don’t see joy in posting, I don’t see joy in drawing, my fun hobby, my escape from reality has become a feeling of dread. I’ve taught myself that my life is worth less than others, it sucks.

I will come back, I’ve been strong before and I will be strong again. I will hopefully be stronger when I return and when I do I will return to posting my silly little drawings. Until then I hope all of you stay safe, drink water and give yourself the love you deserve

this one was drawn more recently as compared to the diamonds themed piece. I have not named our wonderful subject yet but I did have fun hiding little hearts all over their design. I struggled with the lettering on this one which is why I have the alternate

I wanted to see whether I should just cram in the words or split them up. In this one I felt like it was missing something so I added a bunch of hearts

revisited this old drawing I did for a oc

my plan was to make a group of characters all based off of card suits but I only ever got around to this one based off of diamonds (conveniently named diamond). I’m kinda interested in revisiting the topic especially after finding a chart of playing card suits from around the world.

The spingles will be back soon, I’m making a short comic thing for them but procreate keeps crashing because my art is too horrendous

I intended for this to be more centric around trains (don’t ask) but I quit because I don’t understand trains, the tracks they live on and the area surrounding them. I have failed the autism community /s

Every piece of art is a journey of self discovery, today I discovered that I hate drawing bicycles. Hands are simple, legs can be overlooked but vehicles — ESPECIALLY bicycles are hard to draw. Alas I must art. I enjoyed drawing April (human in picture) in a very realistic setting as her style is very childish. She has a nice contrast with the world around her that I admire.

so I was doing a painting of my oc (the one in my pfp) for art class and while I was doing touch ups my teacher not only remembered my ocs name but also asked me questions about them

I’m definitely gonna take art again next year (even tho I HATE painting)
