Here is a Pokémon Sudoku! I used all my last brain cells, and somehow graph theory/discrete mathematics, to make this one. And a few weekends.

All cells must be filled with dual type Pokémon that match the cell description and constraints.
Here are the rules to a regular sudoku. In this^ puzzle, no row, column or box contains the same type twice, and each of the 18 types are contained in every row, column and box. 18 types and 9 dual-type cells.
If a cell says GEN 2, that means the Pokémon was introduced in Gen 2. (And yes, Arceus is Gen 8)
Pokémon can be repeated, and are repeated intentionally.
Megas, variants, forms, etc. are fair game.
Here are the smaller-font riddles written out:
A2 - Bulbasaur (anchor for the coordinate system format)
B6 - Gen 3, Gems 6, Weaknesses none (until type 18, which retconned #36 and introduced 72)
F4 - Stay safe Drednaw; stay safe Aegislash; watch out Swoobat
i2 - Gotta catch all ‘em z’s [sleep emoji]
C5 - EL: el without the en
C8 - Born after Spinarak, yet perished before,Eight plumes that never took to soar.
Unevolved in shell and sprite, I thought I had bid goodnight.
I would recommend figuring out the type combinations first before attempting to solve the riddles and cell constraints since the latter might be vague and only fully reveal itself once you have narrowed down the type. The type information (via sudoku) and the riddle work in tandem to narrow in on a Pokémon.
I will also answer any questions you might have!
